Highly recommend the Crispy onion and Banana Crunch for vegetarians. Really good and I definitely would get those again.

Had a great time here! It was pretty quiet on a Saturday evening. My server was super friendly and helpful because I was overwhelmed by how many sushi options they had. I ended up going with a dragon and gentleman's (?) roll, both which were really tasty and filling. With sushi, I'm always concerned that it's not enough food, but 2 rolls was enough even though I was quite hungry.

Six of us went there for lunch. I didn’t notice that gratuity was already included in the bill and ended up adding an extra $25 tip. Later, when I realized this, I called the manager. She told me they couldn’t refund it because I had signed the receipt — and then she just hung up on me. I admit it was ultimately my mistake, but I felt terrible about how she ended the call without listening to me. I will never go back.

Food was good, decent spot for a meal. This was actually our first time visiting here only bc we were celebrating our friends birthday on a random Tuesday. The prices are decent and we ordered a lot of food. The atmosphere is nice as well. Unfortunately I don’t think we will ever come back. We spent almost $200 here and were celebrating a birthday but felt like we were forgotten. Our server, Solomon, was attentive at first with getting our order and delivering it, then we never saw him again. The other server (a taller Asian woman) looked like working there was the last thing she wanted to do. Very unpleasant, no thanks, no nothing. She forgot to get me my soda too. First impressions are everything. The food wasn’t even that amazing to be acting like that. I won’t be recommending this place to anyone. I took these pics before the service got shietty. The pics looked better than the food actually tasted and I’m not saying that just bc of the service I received.

The bento box was nice. Unfortunately, they don't make the curry spicy here.

I live in the area and used to eat here often and due to inconsistent service and food quality, I stopped. A neighbor told me the restaurant was under new ownership so I thought I’d give it another try. Huge mistake. My order was wrong and when I brought it to the server’s attention, he took it back to the kitchen and brought it back out exactly the same and tried to make me believe it was remade. I didn’t eat it and asked for the check-the server noticed and didn’t bother to address the fact that the food was uneaten. There is no regard here. Different ownership same lack of customer service and attention.

I’m sad to give this review as I’ve been going here for 7+ years.

The service and quality has gone downhill.

I’ve been here about 5-6 times the last 2 years and every time I just assumed something was off. Someone had a bad day or something.

After visiting last week when it was not busy, I can’t recommend this place anymore. This place used to be amazing but the quality of food and service is not good.

I had to get up twice to get the waitress from inside. Once to remind them we had ordered another plate which they forgot about for 15 minutes. A second time for our check. There were two waitresses working and both were just chillin inside. We were asked one time how our food was and that was after I went up the first time checking on our forgotten order. Even my girlfriend was a bit upset.

The food is okay - it used to be a lot better. Probably 4-5 star food 3-4 years ago. Even during quarantine.

It’s really the poor service that was the final straw. I’ve been noticing it more and more. It irks me even more because I was a waiter myself for 6 years. I give them slack but when I see staff on their phones inside and chatting consistently when we haven’t been checked on once - that’s not okay.

I’m on the hunt again for a new place. I still miss Ki Sushi. It shut down in the pandemic 😭

Sushi is fresh and well-presented. I could have done without the wasabi hidden under the fish on some of the nigiri. The California roll was good if a bit light on the avocado. Gyoza was done right but came out a bit late because the kitchen was backed up. Service is decent, prices are very reasonable. For everyday sushi, this place is a pretty good deal.

I don't know what happened to this place. I used to go to Nozomi a lot when I lived in San Diego 8 years ago. I recently visited San Diego and was happy to see that Nozomi was still open and had my favorite dishes on the menu. However, when I ordered them, they tasted pretty bad. Nigiri sushi salad plus rice was okay, although the sauce didn't taste good as it used to. Green noodles and Udon were just awful. Both of their broth were just salty. Green noodles was a huge disappointment because I regularly went to Nozomi only for that dish.
