We read that there was a seagull asking for food and indeed it was there, super cute! A very comfortable terrace with a variety of Mediterranean food, clean bathrooms and super friendly staff. I would definitely return.

A Mediterranean food restaurant with a very pleasant terrace. The dishes are well served and the service is fast and attentive. It is a restaurant that we have returned to when we visited La Jolla since we like it a lot and we were very satisfied even though it is light food.

We had a table with a great view of La Jolla Cove. The food was very good, too. Be sure to try the hummus trio appetizer with naan. The hummus was so light and airy! I especially liked the pesto flavor.

The price of food did not meet the expectations. The food was average. The steak was tough and rubbery and fries were overcooked. I will say the jumbo shrimp and kids pasta were great. With the surcharge fees they add on at the end, not worth coming back.

We had a great time here at dinner.

The views were beautiful, service was great and food was delicious.

I had way more food than I should have. Hummus trio was delicious. Falafel was crunchy. Carrots were fresh and sweet.

Highly recommended for vegetarians who want great views, service and mouth watering food.

Overpriced for the good and my lamb seemed to be dried out maybe reheated? My friends salad with salmon mediocre. If you want location and ambience of being in La Jolla Cove, this is what you get, it is not about the food!

The location is amazing as it has covered outdoor seating upstairs with a view of the cove. The menu had so many good choices it was hard to decide. The service was excellent and the food was divine. Highly recommended.

Parking: Parking was a challenge as the area is very busy and popular most days. A paid parking garage nearby cost us $12/hr

My family comes here every year on our San Diego vacation and love this place! We all order different dishes and enjoy everything. Everything is good: the gyros, the pasta, the lamb shank, the taco trio, the hummus trio, the fries. Casual place for the area, definitely recommend

Atmosphere- 4 stars- nice outdoor seating with views of the ocean.

Service- 3 stars- waiter was friendly however food came out sporadically. Would be nice to eat all together at the same time.

Food- 3 stars- I got the falafel wrap it was ok but kinda bland. My son enjoyed his Spanish Shrimp Pasta. Not bad but there are better choices out there.

The food was subpar. I got the kebabs, chicken was dry so it took me forever it eat it. Everything else was lack luster. Pinot was not good. Service took forever. The best thing about this place is it's close tot he beach & easy to get a seat.

Our server was amazing, very kind and helpful throughout the meal. we had amazing seating on the patio and the food was equally excellent. their greek salad was fresh tasting and well dressed.

Food is fresh and tasty, prices are fair, exceptional service, and every table offers a view of the Pacific Ocean. The outdoor seating is particularly charming.

Vegetarian options: Many salad choices available, falafel is also delicious

Olive & Basil is very central with a great view of La Jolla Cove. All our dishes were delicious (especially the Salmon), prices are reasonable & service is very friendly. We'll be back!
