Food is not good quality. The server was very nice. I would not go there again though as the food is just of a very cheap quality. I had fish tacos and the fish was hard on the outside and like rubber to chew. The food was also cold.

Ordered pizza..ordered sausage and peppers for upcharge..do not mind upcharges..the photo is the sausage I scraped off of one slice of pizza..they don't care..no pride in thier work..would You serve that to a friend or family member??..all the sausage and peppers for that matter would fit on a teaspoon..terrible resturant..horrible experience.. .

We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Sammy's woodfired Pizza in La Jolla. Our waiter, Robert B., Was expedient and courteous. He catered to our needs, and was very personable.

We stopped by Sammy's on our way to the La Jolla Cove and it is such a beautiful restaurant! There were some holiday-themed ribbons and ornaments and a lot of beautiful flowers. We went around 2 PM on a Wednesday so it wasn't super busy and the service was so friendly! Our waitress was super attuned to our needs. This restaurant has a good variety of menu options, including gluten free pizzas! For apps we got the spring rolls and truffle fries which were both delicious! For our main dishes, we ordered fish tacos, a gluten free version and gluten version of the New York pizza, a wagyu cheeseburger, mini wagyu hamburgers, and the chicken fettucine alfredo. We also got a Caesar salad which was delicious! We wouldn't recommend the pasta but our table enjoyed the tacos and burgers! Everywhere else nearby was PACKED so we were grateful to find a quick spot to dine at!

We had a fantastic New Year's Eve lunch, and as expected, the lobster bisque was consistently delightful. The stellar bread service added to the overall experience. We chose two excellent wines and enjoyed a good beer. Additionally, the duck tacos, a perennial favorite, never fail to impress.

The literal worst phone based customer service ordering process for what turns out to be mediocre at best food. Waited on hold for 15 minutes only to be disconnected after multiple times the host picked up and said to please hold. Buy an Ooni. Make your own. It'll be way better than this cardboard.

This review is specifically for the manager Shelby. She is a dishonest manager and does not like having patrons save money. I wanted to buy a gift card for the promo special when you buy a $100 gift card you get a $50 bonus gift card. Shelby said that I could not buy a gift card and use it the same day which is a bold faced lie. The reason I know why Shelby is lying is because I went to the Sammy's location in La Mesa and the manager who told the truth said you can buy a gift card and get the free bonus gift card and use the gift card that I bought today the same day. Shelby is a horrible person and someone who doesn't like some people to save money. Maybe if she liked me she would have done it. Regardless she lied and she shouldn't be working in the restaurant industry. She needs to be retrained if she stays in this managerial position. for Shelby

Dog friendly!! There is a gorgeous outdoor patio that is dog friendly!! There are darling lights and such a fun atmosphere in the restaurant. Between the pasta and the pizza it all left us feeling happy and full! I highly recommend the Arugula and Pear Pizza! That was the tables favorite!I will say, when we arrived we were starving and hoping for a little complimentary bread basket that never came. Just an extra touch, but some little complimentary table snacks would be a nice touch for such a nice place! Other than that we had a fabulous experience!
