Not only was the ice cream fabulous, but I left my wallet there and they took the time to google me and find a social account tied to an organization I’m involved with to let them know I had left it. This was the night before we were leaving San Diego and I hadn’t even noticed. Crisis diverted! They were accommodating and kind waiting for us to get back to retrieve it. My 8 year old says they deserve 30,304 stars, but 5 will have to do here!

Cute spot with outdoor seating, though there’s no indoor seating and it can get a bit of a line. I had the brown sugar butter cinnamon crepe and thought it was tasty, but I’d suggest flattening the butter instead of adding it in scoops, it didn’t spread well and felt way too heavy, one scoop would have been enough for me. My friend had the peanut butter something ice cream, which was fine, but it’s just Van Leeuwen, not homemade, so that was a bit of a letdown for me personally. Overall, a nice spot for a sweet treat,a bit pricey but nothing crazy.

Cute place & friendly staff. Had the honeycomb in a waffle cone and it was yumm! Although found it pricey being $9 for a single scoop. Loved the fact that they were using actual spoons instead of plastic and avoided giving too many napkins and paper receipt. Thanks a lot folks for being good for the planet. “Sweet life” indeed

We've been coming to scoops with the family for years now. It's always been somewhere we go as a tradition when family comes into town. We absolutely love everything about it. We had a really sad experience on Friday night. We had just been there the night before on Thursday and everything was perfect. Friday our family of 8 people came in around 6:15pm and got ice cream. My two kids wanted to try samples of the ice cream and the lady behind the counter seemed super annoyed that they wanted to try the flavors. There were four of us getting ice cream but she started cashing us out after the 3rd ice cream. So I had to ring up my fourth ice cream separately. I ordered a honeycomb milkshake and was told to wait outside very abruptly, and she would deliver it to me. After waiting quite a while, I walked in and asked for my milkshake. The three girls behind the counter had confused looks on their faces. They kept looking around to see if someone had made it. Then they just kept asking me what I was waiting for. Standing in awkward silence with me and the three of them, they said nothing. My family was standing outside asking me what's going on. I continued to stand at the counter with all three of them. Just standing there. Finally I broke the silence saying can you just give me a refund. The one girl that rang me up looks at me and says I don't know if I know how to do that. Figured it out on the computer but then has the audacity to ask me what was your order again. So this whole time I'm waiting for a shake and she could have been making it but she doesn't even remember what I'm waiting for. I left getting my money back and leaving with no ice cream. I've never had this experience here. The customer service was non-existent this visit. I'm really disappointed in my experience. And I was really craving a milkshake. 🥹
