My husband and I are staying in San Diego for a conference and decided to visit La Jolla. We came across Shiku because of their amazing reviews. I am SO glad we did. The service is quick and the sushi is fresh and frankly out of this world. We highly recommend this place! Our favorites are el cartel and the prospect!

Honestly, I had high expectations of this place. The service was very mediocre. The food was ok, not much flavor to it for the price. With a location like this, I would raise the standards for everything. It felt very rundown. It has a lot of potential!
Went there for high Yelp rating. First, they do not cook sushi rice. It should not crumble.
Fish was not fresh at all. Service was EXTREMLY slow. Even as a tourist, we don't want to stuck almost two hours for the lunch.
Sushi at food courts are better and Cheaper.

El Cartel was soo good. Summer beach body sushi was also amazing! It is a very short walk from the La Jolla cove which makes parking very difficult but it is totally worth it.
