Decent but not amazing. we were expecting an “unassuming” low key joint per the google maps description, but it looks like the restaurant changed names and potentially decor so it’s just another bougie la jolla restaurant. We got the golden moon appetizer - don’t get that- it was trader joe’s frozen aisle level of texture and flavor. i was expecting a crispy flaky bigger buttery pastry. barely any filling inside!I got the larb chicken salad and my friend got the pan and curry. Both were good.Ended with the FBI dessert and welll….it didn’t taste as good as the description, mostly cuz why wrap the banana in egg roll skins instead of just tempura batter???

This place had the best Panang/Red Curry I’ve ever had! We ordered fresh spring rolls, spicy eggplant, and pad see ew. All the dishes were very flavorful and the ingredients were so fresh! Very underrated place, we’re definitely coming back here.

Best meal I had in SD this time around!Unassuming Thai restaurant that has my vote for one of the best meals I had in a long time. They have great lunch deals. The biggest takeaway from this restaurant is the unmatched flavors they produce from their kitchen. I’m talking flavors that will blow your socks off. Very comforting, tasty and flavorful. The food also doesn’t come from a can or anything that is cookie cutter. This is some real food cooked with soul. Thank you Chef!I would drive all the way down from Los Ángeles in a heart beat to get another meal.

We visited La Jolla and were looking for a place for lunch when we walked by Spice and Rice. So glad we found this place, everything was fantastic! The outdoor seating area was aesthetically pleasing and calm! Our food was excellent! We got the cashew nut curry and green curry! Service was quick and very kind! We will definitely come back when we visit La Jolla again!

I had the Panang duck curry and it was beautifully presented, not too spicy and very flavorful. The servers were attentive, but not intrusive. The outside seating was peaceful with a fountain and space heaters, a great place and one that I will be returning to.

Dined in for lunch and it was delish! Lunch specials are very reasonably priced $12-17ish dollars if you get duck! Lunch special came with soup(chicken noodle),salad with the tastiest dressing and some wontons. Check this place out
We Drove from LA county . Ordered the chicken bbq and green curry and cucumber salad . With all the thai bbq chicken that I've had I consider myself an expert. This one here is the one you could skip. It tasted like it was cooked or reheated frozen . The curry had sliced of chicken all 6 pcs of it in a cup size serving . For the price you should expect more than one serving . The 3 $ cucumber salad is not what I expected it's a cup of vinegar with sugar amd chopped onions and cucumber. . We always look for good dinning experience and sadly we put this place on the skip list.

I set reservations for 8 pm. As i arrive they were rude and told me that you know we are closing! Worst experience I ever had at a restaurant I wouldn't recommend this place!

Had the shrimp with lobster curry sauce and pineapple rice. It was tasty but the curry was clearly made from a packet sauce and the whole thing was about a million miles from actual Thai food.
