Mediocre food, and expensive

I absolutely love this place. If you're looking for reasonably priced sushi by the beach then Sushi Mori is for you. I would recommend this place to anyone.

this is a wonderful little beach sushi place. The food was unbelievably good. We had both ramen as well as sushi and tempura. I highly recommend a spot. The service was delightful. The sushi was very very good. The special was prepared exquisitely. We're planning on going back again tonight!

Steps away from La Jolla Shores, is this closed street full of restaurants and bars, and a spot we visited again was Sushi Mori!

Everyone was so kind from the moment we got there!

This is what we ordered:
-sushi of the day $20 (as shown in the today's special deal)
-unagi don $28 (first time ordering this and it was sooo good!)
-chirashi $34 (got this last time and it still was just as amazing)
-cherry blossom $18 (first time ordering this and it has spicy imitation crab, avocado, cucumber and on top is tuna, salmon, avocado with spicy mayo...would get this roll again!)

Such a cute sushi date night spot that is intimate! Recommend going during sunset time to see the beautiful hues as it gets darker.

Food was delicious. Ambiance was great. I just wish they would do something special for birthdays. Great place though.

We picked Sushi Mori based on YELP reviews and its proximity to the beach. They did not disappoint! Our table was waiting for us with a “Reserved” sign which always makes you feel a little special knowing they didn't just stick you in an open table somewhere. Our waitress was just a great person, fun personable and able to suggest things based on our pointing other tables sushi plates. Even though the temperature was perfect they had outdoor heaters set up on low to ensure no way could we be cold. The Sushi arrived quite quick and look and tasted fantastic.Again the service was fantastic!Atmosphere was great on this warm night and it was hard to stand up knowing we were full of awesome sushi. highly recommend Sushi Mori , give it a try

I love sushi!!! The sushi and sashimi here is super fresh and delicious. Service is excellent. I haven't had a roll here I didn't like, and I've had a lot of different ones. I like to order something new on the menu each time, plus my favorite dragon roll.

One thing that, for me, would make this place 5 stars would be adding a mango roll to the menu.

Absolutely underwhelming that was made even more disappointing by the poor value. If you can only eat sushi, and you’re on the verge of death from starvation, I’d still recommend skipping.
