I was driving by in a hurry. I’m so glad i stopped by. I had a delicious tuna salad on a bagel, banana bread and coffee. It was tasty. This is a great place to chill and enjoy.

The breakfast croissant with Black Forest ham, cheddar cheese and hard-boiled egg was delicious !!!✨❤️😀🌈🌞🙏, the market has everything you could need ! And the eccentric store next door, will take me probably an hour to browse through, its wonderful, so I will have to go back there again soon. Thank you, Emma and Lisa !!!! ✨🌈❤️😀🌞🙏.... And the pizza margherita was to die for !!! I almost had to create a living will

LUNCH STOP ! My wife and I rode our eBikes to La Jolla Shores on Sunday and chose this corner store to buy some lunch. Lisa the owner was very friendly and chatty with us. My wife ordered The Corner Club Sandwich to share which came on a ciabatta. We sat outside at a community bench table which was shaded. Our fresh made sandwich was brought out by a food runner and tasted fine. Lisa was kind enough to bring us a couple of chocolate chip cookies. They tasted pretty good. GIVE IT A GO !

We stopped by hoping for a quick bite before heading to the beach, but our visit fell short of expectations. The menu offered soup, including a specialty minestrone, which seemed like a great option. However, we ordered a 12 oz portion and were charged $15.40 for a 16 oz size without a clear explanation.

The service, unfortunately, added to the disappointment. Ellie was friendly with other customers but seemed to overlook our order. After waiting 10 minutes, I had to check in, only to hear they were “looking for a container.” From the open kitchen, it was clear the soup was just being pulled from the fridge and hadn’t been warmed up, which was frustrating for a quick stop.

We really wanted to enjoy this local spot, as it has a charming setup, but the pricing mix-up and slow service made it hard to recommend. For now, we’ll look elsewhere for a reliable beachside bite.

She has created a community restaurant with character, convenience, a local flare and great selections that feels like a labor of love as much as a thriving business that you will be glad you supported.
