I’ve been coming to The Cottage La Jolla for about 2 years now, and it never disappoints! The breakfast is always amazing — fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. The atmosphere is cozy, and the staff are always friendly. Definitely one of my favorite spots in La Jolla!

Next level brunch. The owner was very nice. The server made us feel.at home. The tangerine juice was clearly fresh. The food was insanely good. Best Rueben I've ever had. Salivating just thinking about it. The French toast was awesome. Great flavors and not too sweet. The atmosphere was bright and happy. Loved it.

My favorite place for muffins (Lemon Coconut Lavender or King Kong) and coffee. If its too crowded, I'll walk to a nearby bench overlooking the ocean and eat there. The meals are large and tasty too. I have been a patron for over 30 years and found the owner and staff to be friendly and efficient. Street parking can be tough and it’s easier to be seated inside than out. Kid-friendly (ask for the Wiki-Sticks). The recipes for many of the delicious items can be found in the Stern’s 2004 cook book entitled “Southern California Cooking from the Cottage: Casual Cuisine from Old La Jolla's Favorite Beachside Bungalow.”

The food was below average, the latte just tasted like milk, and my favorite part of the meal was the small pineapple slice they added to the plate.

Absolutely disgusting eggs Benedict and even nastier matcha latte. Everything tasted like it was frozen and put in the microwave. The matcha was watery, fishy, and overly sweet. Hollaindaise was all congealed and the potatoes also tasted frozen.

Great food and great service! The Milanese chicken sandwich is quite large but is delicious, we split it between 2 of us and it was perfect!

Don't let a crowd scare you, we were sat instantly despite a waiting list. The food was fresh, and delicious. The staff were all kind & helpful.

Food was fantastic. The potatoes were cooked well and perfectly crispy. Unfortunately service was subpar. We had to ask for refills multiple times and no one really checked up on us.

If I can give them a zero I would but I can’t so I’ll give them a 1. My sister and I came to this place with high hopes from Arizona. When we got there no one paid any attention to us. We were passed by several times by the employees without any recognition. We were in comfy clothes and we are also Hispanic so I’m not sure if they took us serious. But that doesn’t matter, I’m very well off and could afford to be anywhere. We were finally sat down. And then they forgot about us we waited another 20 minutes and no one came. We were given water. Shout out to the young gentleman. We saw them take care everyone but us so we left to the next door to place called Blue Whale. 10/10 service there.
