Tina made my visit to The Melt unforgettable with her warm welcome, genuine kindness, and exceptional service. She guided me to the perfect meal, which was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Her attentiveness was perfectly timed—never intrusive, yet always making me feel valued. Thanks to Tina, I left with a full stomach, a big smile, and an experience worth sharing.

When I say this food is good, I mean it's GOOD. As a garlic lover, they killed it on the garlic chicken Mac and cheese, AND the garlic Parmesan fries. It's clean, welcoming, and priced fairly. Highly recommend

MOUTHSATIONAL LUNCH ! My wife and I were down in La Jolla for most of the day on Saturday taking care of business. In fact we were a short distance from The Melt so we decided to head over here for a late lunch. We have been to this location a bunch of times in the past and it has always been darn good. It was just before 3pm when walked inside...it looked mildly busy. After checking the menu high up on the wall above the cashier desk we worked out what we wanted. A cheerful cashier named Angel took our lunch order for 1 x SPICY MISSION MELTBURGER ( pepper jack, jalapeños, avocado, lettuce, spicy melt sauce on artisan French bun ), 1 x SICILIAN CHICKEN MELTED CLASSIC ( grilled chopped chicken breast, provolone, fontina, grilled mushrooms on spicy garlic bread ), 1 x SWEET POTATO FRIES, 1 x SNICKERDOODLE THICKSHAKE and 1 x PERUVIAN CHOCOLATE BROWNIE. We paid upfront, Angel handed us a ready buzzer and then grabbed a couple of seats at the bar height community table. Even at this late hour customers were trickling in every minute or so. FAST SERVICE ! Within 10 short minutes our ready buzzer went berserk so I wandered over to the service counter to collect our lunch order neatly arranged on 2 trays. WHOO HOO ! My wife was in love with her huge Sicilian Chicken Sandwich...lots of favor with tender juicy chicken. YEAH BABY ! My Spicy Mission Meltburger was cooked perfectly...and the jalapeños added a nice kick. GOTTA LOVE ! Of course we are suckers for Sweet Potato Fries and ours hit the satisfaction button. DON'T FORGET ! I loved my super creamy Snickerdoodle Thickshake to the last drop and my wife devoured her yummy Peruvian Chocolate Brownie. We totally enjoyed our lunch experience. BETTER THAN THE REST !

PRETTY GOOD ! My wife and I decided to give this very new burger joint a try last Saturday evening before heading to the AMC La Jolla 12 to see Blade Runner 2049. I checked this place out before it opened a couple of weeks ago and it looked as though they were intending to take burgers and grilled cheese sandwiches into the fast food stratosphere. We walked in around 5.30pm and stood there for a few minutes analyzing the menu board. My wife ordered the Italian Job while I liked the sound of the Spicy Mission Melt Burger + a serve of Sweet Potato fries. A guy named Ryan was looking after us and he doing a good job at that. They give you a buzzer to take to your table….similar set up to another well known burger chain. The decor is bright and cheery, a big screen TV up on the wall, 2 gender neutral bathrooms, plenty of tables inside and outside on the patio. What more could you ask for ? Our dinner order only took a few minutes and we were buzzed. My burger looked astounding, bigger and more luscious than I expected. My wife's grilled cheese sandwich looked kinda tiny compared to my huge burger with the extra fries. Who said size doesn't matter ? My huge burger tasted very good...the large bun was very fresh and the grass fed beef patty tasted outstanding + the tomato sauce added a flavorsome zest. My wife loved her Italian Job grilled sandwich and noted that there was a garlic flavor which made the cheese / mushroom filling even more tasty. While I was busy chomping away at my burger & yummy fries a friendly guy wearing a The Melt embossed jacket walked by us and said hello. Next minute we are having a friendly chat with this guy named Herb who happens to be a big shot with The Melt...something like in charge of all the stores in California. He was a real nice guy and very switched on in this type of business of course. We were very impressed with the fast efficient service, meal quality and serve size, store cleanliness and the overall upbeat vibe of the place. We don't usually frequent fast food joints but this one is definitely a cut above the rest. We'll be back to try some of the other interesting choices on the menu !
