Food was magic as always Ciara gave excellent service while we sat at the bar. Best Italian food in SD
This restaurant is a "hidden gem" in the East County city of La Mesa. The service was superb, we were impressed with the young man cleaning the tables... excellent attitude, concerned a joy. Our server Levi... he was amazing! We will be back. We will be back! ~nl
This restaurant is very small, and the noise volume is quite loud. It seems to be a popular place! We were there for Restaurant Week, and the portions were very small for what we paid.
The food at this little neighborhood gem is amazing. I had the burata salad and cappelini. So delicious. Best Italian in La Mesa and maybe even San Diego. Levi and Moses were charming and provided excellent customer service. I will always go back.
The restaurant was so noisy that it was hard to converse with each other or to even order. This is a shame because the food was very, very good. Because of the noise, we chose to take desserts home. If the weather is good, choose to sit outdoors!
Another great experience at Antica Trattoria! We had the restaurant week menu - plenty of food and all very flavorful. We will be back!
Amazing quality dishes and drinks, with rich add savory veal, the lobster ravioli was my girlfriends favorite. Went for SD restaurant week, met the owner Francesco and our server Heather was so fun. We will definitely be going back now.
Have been going to Antica Trattoria for about 25 years and have never had a bad meal. Franco delivers true value to their customers. I think Antica Trattoria is the most authentic Italian restaurant in San Diego.
We were first timers to Antica Trattoria and were very impressed with the entire experience. I had the saltimbocca, which was among the best I've had in San Diego. My wife enjoyed the veal Marsala, which was another hit. We will be back. BTW - in case you want to bring your own wine, on Wednesday there is no corkage fee.
Delicious food, great staff. The seafood fettucinu is out of this world good! And the meatball appetizer is a must. Great find in La Mesa.

Why have I not been here before and why are more people not talking about this place? Amazing.
Back again. Even better. The Rizzoto with squash and pistachios. Wow! Staff still super friendly and attentive.

My wife and began coming here when antica first opened in 2001. Yeah In those earl Franco Sicily There were times when the restaurant only had 2-3 tables occupied. The food was excellent than and, along with the prices, has only increased in quality of preparation, presentation , and flavor. Bravo!!
The food and service is outstanding. For me it's too loud and the tables are way too close to each other. But the food, it's so good. The lasagna here is bomb!
surprise surcharge fee...
Great food! A little on the pricey side but consistently good. Love the polpetine, bruschetta, chicken picata and tiramisu.
