Butternut squash risotto is worth going back and having at least twice a month. Mahi mahi was prepared lovely. I always think things need more salt(wish they had finishing salt) the virgin mojitos we spot on so delicious. 2 people with dessert and tip $150. 2 mains, 1 bread app, 2 drinks( mocktail) 1 dessert (I inhaled the tiramisu at home)
Antica Trattoria is a gem. It is remarkable to find a place like this tucked away in a quiet La Mesa shopping center, but my wife and I have been dining there for years. The steady stream of diners tells you that the secret is out. It is a very popular place. The penne w/ smoked salmon and shrimp in a creamy lobster is my wife's favorite dish. From our arrival at the bar and service with Chiarra to our meal with our server from Sicily (I'm sorry-I forgot her name), our experience was delightful. I had the chicken piccata, my husband had the gnocchi, friends had the salimbocca and papperadelle. Everyone was very pleased with the meal. We will definitely be coming back!!
