OMG these are the best donuts we've had in a long time, maybe even ever. Soft, not overly sweet, not a single dry bite (even after 9am) perfect amount of toppings. We got a half dozen, a bottle drink, and a medium coffee. Our total was just over $8. That is the cash price, however. They do charge more for using card FYI.My daughter and I tried the Bavarian Cream (my favorite), chocolate Old Fashioned, Glazed with Cinnamon, White with Sprinkles, and Chocolate with Sprinkles. She had a bottle of Strawberry milk and I had a medium coffee. The Bavarian Creams were the best I've ever had. There was actually cream in the entire donut, and it was soooo soft and fluffy! Even the Old Fashioned was soft, with a perfect crispy crust. The chocolate actually tastes like chocolate, better than any other donut shop I've tried. My daughter scarfed down her sprinkle donuts with a smile the whole time. He even included 2 donut holes as a surprise! She devoured those before I could stir my coffee and try a bite hahaThe only sorta downsides I have; the coffee tasted odd... even for what you would imagine "cheap generic coffee" to be. But he had a few different Flavored creamers available, so that helped. Also, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but there was some old country love ballads playing as we ate there. I didn't mind, it seemed fitting somehow.I am so mad at myself that I've driven by this place twice a day for a year and a half and never stopped in! We will most definitely be back!

Exquisite donuts. We had to wait 20 minutes for them to open, but it was worth the wait. I'm not a donut fan, but they were delicious. Excellent price by the way, only $10 a dozen. I recommend them!

Owner is super nice and always has a wide variety of donuts. Love the apple fritter and I am not an apple fritter person.

Avast ye mateys! Gather 'round and listen to the tale of Captain 619, the fearsome pirate who be reviewin' a haunt not far from our ship, a legendary place known as Best Donuts. Arr, we've been sailin' past this treasure trove for many a year, but finally decided to set foot on its shores. And oh, what a jolly good decision it be, for we arrived just two hours afore they closed! The flavors me hearties, they be as sharp as a cutlass and as fresh as the sea breeze. Each bite be a burst of delight, me taste buds dancin' a merry jig. And the prices, fair they were, like a fair maiden's smile. No scurvy pirate would be left feelin' robbed after a visit to this fine establishment. So, me fellow buccaneers, if ye be seekin' a treasure trove of delectable delights, set sail for Best Donuts. 'Tis a haunt worth plunderin', a place where ye can satisfy yer cravings and leave with a smile on yer face. Arr, me heart be filled with joy, knowin' that such a haven exists not far from our very own ship.

Stopped by this donut shop before a softball game. Got two dozen donuts and two OJs for $22. What a steal!! And my kids said the donuts were the best they have had! What a gem of a place.

Been stopping by here a couple of times. A good selection, not massive but fresh. Picked up half dozen of the chocolate glazed, lemon and raspberry filled for a few breakfast friends. A dozen will get you a box. Authentic. Basic coffees, cooler bottled drinks, tables for sit down. Very simple, no atmosphere. Get your donuts and leave. But the donuts are very good and fresh. Parking out front. Good to know. Easy in and out.

As named, these are the best donuts in San Diego! I drive about 30 minutes out of the way to get them. Really soft cake, and the maple tastes like maple, not just sweet!*for the one bad review…if he threw the money back at you and you didn’t get the donuts, how the hell you know what they taste like?

Absolute best donuts in San Diego! Really spongy cake, and the maple frosting is spot on. Haven't gotten the really good fresh ones on the mornings, but I can say they were still fresh tasting on a Sunday late afternoon.
