I order the “Jumbo” spaghetti and meatballs, the pasta was very good and plenty of it, the meatballs (4) were not has big, mine were actually dry and cold, like they had been re heated, my wife had the shrimp scampi, her plate was delicious, pasta was very flavorful and the shrimp was cook nicely, also her plate was very hot in temperature, the spinach and artichoke dip was delicious, highly recommend it as an appetizer.
The 1st server was great, hand off service changed 1/2 way through time, busy, raining, roof leaking all over the floor at entrance. Food was terrible , apps served barely warm, entree steak over cooked, terrible veggies with black char, poorly prepared served barely warm, added on beer charged never served to table, friendly staff. Will not return
Showed up before the reservation and was told my reservation wasn't in the system. Said it would be about an hour wait... but they were quick to fix the situation and we were seated within 10 minutes! We had a wonderful waiter too!
We were seated outside and the heaters were not working well when we were there. The food took a really long time to come out and the quality just wasn't up to our expectation for the price that we paid. Our server did their best but it was clear they had too many tables to serve at the same time. We arrived at 6PM and paid the bill at 8:30PM, a lot of that time was waiting for food
Great place for our daughter's 11th birthday with her family. There was something on the menu for all ages. The pizookie was delicious! We were seated right away. The service was terrific!
My waiter Lew was awesome
Our server was fantastic: helped me find a good deal on soup and salad, made sure my younger daughter got all the ranch dip for her chicken tenders that her heart desired. It was busy, but they took care of us nicely. Thank you!
Our server was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. Very satisfied with our experience. We have visited a few times in the last year or so and service has always been excellent. Management is doing a great job at hiring.
Food was meh. Tried BJ for the first time over at La Mesa as we were headed to a concert and it was date night. We were seated right away however, waitress showed up after about 5 min, then said will be back. Then waited probably another 5 to 10 minutes when she returned she already had 2 waters. We ordered the Calamari appetizer, the spaghetti with meatballs and jambalaya with a house salad. The Spaghetti was ok, looked like the meatballs have been in the warmer too long as it was very dry. The jambalaya was a bit better however, the rice didn't seem throughly cooked as there were bits of hardness in them, wife was only able to eat about 1/4 of the spaghetti plate, i ate about half of the jambalaya. We then ordered dessert and got the pizookie trio since it was date night. Got the strawberry shortcake, cookies and cream and the chocolate chunk. Now, literally, the dessert took a while before it got served, probably what seemed to be about 10-15 min, it was ok, but what was disappointing was the ice cream was already melted halfway through when we got it. It was literally runny that my wife did't enjoy it much. I mean, it didn't really ruin date night for us but, would we go back there, probably not as we felt that it was underwhelming specially when we paid over $100 including tip. As soon as we left, my wife literally said that we should've went to Olive Gardens instead.

Hostess accommodated our special request and made sure we had a great table with view of multiple big screen TV, food was yummy and fresh and plentiful, service was friendly and attentive. Can't wait to be back again soon!
Enjoyed lunch choosing the $13 weekday lunch menu. The Strawberry salad, burger and Chicken, bacon ranch Piadina were all very good. The Mac and cheese balls were tasty too according to the 10yr old. Everything came out quickly. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only disappointment was the Ginger beer was very weak but could be the brand they have on hand.
Made a reservation for a birthday dinner for 8 people for 6:30, we didn't end up leaving until 9 after waiting an hour for food and 30 minutes for pizookies. Multiple plates were made incorrectly and we didn't want to say anything out of fear of waiting additional time for corrections. Server was really nice about it but probably won't be coming back
There were nine of us on a busy Saturday night. Lots of large parties. The food was overall good. They do impose an automatic 18% tip. I rated the service poor because the waits between ordering drinks and getting them, ordering food and getting it, asking for the check and receiving it, etc., were way too long. But I think they simply didn't have enough staff. I felt sorry for our server. He and the others were busting their humps. So management, I hope you can add to your staff soon!
The Thursday tri-tip and rib specials were very good and our server Agatha was very attentive and took the time to explain options to us even when her section was full. Overall it was a good dining experience and Agatha took great care of us. I would highly recommend her to everyone going to BJ’s.
