We recently visited BMH to order our usual eggplant parmigiana sandwich. The sandwich has always been good and orders are filled quickly. A week ago though, my wife called in our order and was told that they had no eggplant or chicken, which was our alternate. The person taking the order was rude and seemed to be in a hurry. The Sammy's cookies, (very good chocolate chip mix), we usually get there are not up to previous standard. The deli was bought by someone and I think that quality has slipped.

Super disappointed. I was craving a tuna sub so my husband found this place. I’m sure the other sandwiches are good but the tuna was horrible. There was one slice of tomato on each half of bread. Tons of mayo. The bread felt stale. The shaved onions were unappealing. We ended up throwing the sandwich away after a few bites. Sad day :(

.......this is the best deli in san diego county period !!........2 of my favorites are the meatball (of course !) and the muffaletta.......that meatball sammie has some of the best meatballs i've had on this planet.........and boy, does this deli have delicious bread which we all know can make or break the sammie, irregardless of what's stuffed inside.......a bit crusty on the outside but pillowy soft wonderness on the inside.......drenched in tasty marinara, some goood melted provolone and them tasty meatballs.............my soul ascends somewhere while i eat this tasty treat, every time..........and that muffaletta is a nice, lighter surprise than the one in the big easy.......the olive spread is nice and brawny like a good olive spread should be..........i've had a few others as well but wanted to highlight my faves...........you can't go wrong here and your tastebuds will say grazie grazie grazie.........

If you are from NY don’t waste your time. With this high rating people have no clue of a true Italian Hoagie/Sandwich and cannoli eeek! Or I’m just saying nothing like NY or even Little Italy here?! But if you don’t know you might be very happy. I was not!

BMH Italian is hands down one of the best deli spots around! The food is always fresh, flavorful, and made with care—especially the sandwiches with their perfectly baked bread. But what really makes this place stand out is the customer service. The staff are some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet—they treat you like family, always smiling, attentive, and going out of their way to make sure you leave happy.
It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service are this consistently excellent. If you want delicious Italian comfort food served with genuine kindness, BMH Italian is the place to go!

Cannoli- this is all we got- to go. Tasty treat to say the least. Remember that you pay for quality! Service: just ok. Not very engaging but I was the only customer at the time I went in. Atmosphere: I’d have to say that it’s a work in progress. Looks like a renovation is underway? I look forward to seeing the results and trying some hot specialties.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Spicy SouthSide sub and as usual, it was so good! Customer service is always top tier and I’m always greeted with a smile! The Italian dressing they make is by far the BEST I’ve ever had. Definitely would recommend

Stopped in because I was having some work done on my car and the guys at the shop recommended this deli/ bakery. Wow, was it delicious! Loved the menu options, things that remind me of my Italian Grandma. I'll be back to try them all in due time. Also, the staff was so friendly and really showed a lot of care with the food. I find it hard to find italian bread since moving to SD, and this is the place I've been looking for :) Great fresh loaves, and they give you a generous sandwich!

Very disappointed. Ordered the mama Mia that I have ordered a dozen times that comes with all the toppings that are listed on the menu. This came completely plain. When I called they stated it should come with everything. I am pregnant and absolutely pissed off that there is no consistency. On top of that, the bread was hard and the quality of my husbands sandwich was poor. Won’t be coming back here.
Btw: My husband did not order the wrong sandwich.. it clearly states on the menu that every sandwich comes with : the toppings. Looks like it was your mistake.
