The Pacific Amber was too notch. It was a bummer they either ran out or had technical issues with the tap, otherwise I would have had another. The weather and breeze caused the venue to be a bit chilly though.

Came here on a weekend afternoon to try some beers. There are picnic tables outside and they had a Mexican food cart in front of the brewery. This is a nice brewery tucked away in La Mesa. Unfortunately I didn’t care too much for the beer selection that they had, there was nothing that really well with me, but I really enjoyed the location and the staff were very friendly. I will pop in another time when the tops rotate to try out some more beers.

Beers were ok. Beer tender was grumpy. Parking situation on a Sunday was difficult, not sure how anyone would find a spot during a biz day.

St. Patrick's Day. Band was too loud and played zero Irish music. Beer was delicious. I love Bolt Brewery. Their band selection on St. Patrick's Day left something to be desired.

Good beer, places the sit and hang out. Not as kid friendly as I would have hoped.

Went here for the first time a few days ago and I was pleasantly surprised. It's a really nice spot to have a great beer and relax. I had the blueberry sour and it's definitely in my top 5 sours I've ever had. There's plenty of seating and it's dog friendly!
Great beer, great atmosphere. The beer garden is dog friendly, with many furry visitors coming by with their humans.Friday is free pizza night, a slice with a purchase of a pint. It's been a while since I enjoyed a taproom/beer garden as much as this place. It's quite literally right off the 8 freeway.Only minor issue is parking is limited, so get to the Wednesday trivia night early.

I have been coming to the Bolt in La Mesa for several years now. I am drawn to the warm, friendly feel, the outdoor beer garden setting and their good selection of beers.I noticed a recent negative review regarding an apparent rude encounter with a Bolt staff member. While I do not know the specifics to the complaint of the reviewer, I can certainly vouch for the friendliness of the Bolt staff. In my personal experience, I have always been greeted in a very cordial manner every single visit from the barkeep or even the owner and I have always been treated like an valued customer. That is why I keep coming back.

First time here and had a great time. The outdoor setting is perfect for the weather and for social distancing. The beer was tasty, especially the hard pressed orange cream ale. The food was just out of this world. I had both the Brisket grilled cheese with tomato soup and the brisket cheesesteak and just..... damn......So good I had to take a moment to enjoy the memory.Definitely going to go back and organize some meetup events there.

Great place a little hard to get to and a little confusing off the main street. Great beer and really good craft beer selection.

Odd location, but the ambiance, beer, and food are fun. Food is limited in choice by tasty. All seating outdoors. Beer selection is good.
