I'm so glad I finally had the chance to try this cute place. I was craving a decaf iced americano and it was perfect!! The owner is very cool and personable and I will definitely be back .

This Place used to really good until the renovations. I feel like the quality of the coffee took a hit and more items being removed off the list. I also loved the stamp card but they unfortunately don’t do them anymore. This used to be my favorite coffee spot and very sad to know it has declined since

I'm not sure if this place is run by a singular individual, but both times I've been a patron the man in the shack was lovely. Kind, patient, and makes a delicious drink. It's not the strongest coffee around, but an excellent option.

New barista is kinda rude. I brought my business here with my coworkers. 6 drinks total. He tried to ask if other cars could go first if I have a lot of drinks. Uh, no, sir. I'm on a time crunch myself. He said "I usually don't take big orders cause I'm just 1 person making the drinks." Had the nerve to look at me appalled cause I said I do mind. He was loudly huffing& puffing through each order. Sorry, my coworkers wanted to try this awesome place I raved so much about. Kinda put a damper in my experience here. Also, the numbers listed aren't correct. The new owners haven't updated it, so I wasn't able to pre-order ahead.. &when I tried to tip, there's no card option, but "he only accepts cash tips" so head ups for primary card users!

Now & then I go for the Americano (coffee +1 espresso). I appreciate an occasional hot coffee, plus the pleasant attitude of either gentleman on shift. $3 & $2 tip is cheaper than Scarbutts.

I live in downtown SD and I’m so sick of the over priced fancy watered down coffee places I don’t even really get coffee anymore. I was on a hike a stopped here after to wait out traffic and I couldn’t be more happy about every aspect. I had to immediately make this review. You made my day thank you.

My go-to coffee place since I moved to SoCal. Rich coffee and incredible service every time. This stop is a MUST in La Mesa. Trust.

This is the only drive through coffee (that's not Starbucks) on this side of La Mesa. The coffee is good and the service is friendly!

I love this little coffee stand. My favorite is their Cold Brew Mocha, and the owner is super kind too. Good vibes all around

Service was fine, but came here because of the high reviews expecting good coffee and was very disappointed.

I'm sad I didn't give this place a chance sooner! One of the best lattes i've had in a long time! I'm pretty skeptical with trying coffee shops as most of the time I find myself upset about spending $8+ on a nasty drink. Alvars really knows how to make a gooood drink. I had my puppy with me and he made him a little treat as well. So glad I found a small coffee shop that I truly love, highly recommend!
