Chicken Charlie's Grossmont

First time their, had fish&chips.Very good will RECOMMEND!!?

It's fun to have Chicken Charlie's deep fried deliciousness available outside of the San Diego (Del Mar) Fair. You just need to be ready to stand in a hot parking lot while you wait. Hint: if you go after noon there is shade from the structure just to the right of the counter.

Chicken was tasty at first, then could taste the salt. Service was relatively quick. Was expensive.

It was nice to see it there. Good food, little pricey, but, oh well... what are you gonna do??

The only reason why I am giving them two stars instead of one star or less is because the service at the register. The food on the other hand actually mad me quite literally sick to my stomach. The ribs I ordered was not cooked fully as well as the bacon wrapped pickles, the bacon was still raw under the deep-fried parts. If you do insist on getting food from this location I do not and I repeat DO NOT recommend those two items.

I got the funnel cake. The price was about what I normally see around for funnel cakes. It had an okay taste. The batter was similar to that of Japanese tempura not so much of fried dough. Other items I saw being made looked great.

Food is great , fantastic , out of this world but I think Charlie is thinking he's still at the fair cuz the prices are pretty steep , but it's worth it I mean bacon wrapped pickles come on

Fried food was good (especially the french fries), but definitely not $20 good. $15 (plus tax) for a takeout shack meal (not including a drink which was another $1.75 can) is way too much for what I got. The service was poor. I will be generous and give them 3 stars because the food was decent. Still feel like I got burned- I will not be back.

Bland taste and expensive . Very limited menu ... I laughed when they said rice was a liability I can’t remember why because she did explain it to me but I was zoned out at that point. She seemed to be irritated sort of rushing me to finish ordering maybe cause it’s cold idk but I’m not coming back . They were so much better at the fair

Outstandung fish and chips. Everything on the menu and Special of the Day are delicious.

I may have gotten diabetes but enjoyed every 500 calorie bite

The tater tots were amazing! Crispy outside, hot and soft inside. The funnel cake was a treat!

The food was good. I wanted to try the fried pb&j but they did not have it on this current locations menu. I did get the fried avocado. Mmmmmm yummy.

I don't know I guess I expected more out of a deep fried Twinkie but I don't know to me the Twinkies seem like it was kind of old maybe the other stuff is good though but I'll still go back and try some other stuff
