Needed a hole in the wall Chinese spot and I found it. Tracked them down from their second location in Grossmont Mall. Food is actually good. For San Diego, this is as good as you can get off Convoy. Classic family owned restaurant, looks like it’s been in business a while. Very kind and attentive with awesome food.

Good standard reliable American Cantonese food. But more than just Cantonese. I say American because there are no Asian veggies or more exotic seafood dishes. Most folks wanting Chinese food do not want these anyway. We have been eating here for years and it seldom disappoints. I have learned that the middle aged male server who I have always assumed was the owner is a bit cranky and is hard to engage in a conversation. This is not so unusual for a Cantonese restaurant. Don't let this disuade you from coming here. The lunch menu is a real steal. The clientele is a bit older, mirroring the neighborhood. And maybe why the owner does not want to make it more authentic like a Chinese restaurant in Kearny Mesa. I have never had a bad dish here and have eaten at least 50 times here.

Seems to be a family run place, the dining room is a little cluttered, but the food and service were good. I would recommend.

Normally, I do not write negative reviews. However, today my wife elected our lunch, and I chose Chopsticks because they have always been a good go-to Chinese restaurant. Today was not the Chopsticks I recall. The menus were thrown on our table, the server was rude as if we were an inconvenience, and the food was bland. When I attempted to pay my bill, the server scolded me. Maybe they were having a bad day... the attitude reflected that. Bad! We will not be visiting this establishment.

This little unassuming spot serves up classic Chinese dishes like fried rice, mu shu chicken, sesame chicken and egg drop soup. The lunch specials offer a variety of options and are generously portioned. The entire menu is diverse and expansive!

The server was nice and the wait time wasn't too bad. The walls are a little dirty (food splatter) but the booths were comfortable and the decor was appropriate.

The food was pretty good. Nothing really to complain about. The restaurant itself was odd. Sort of run down. They seated us in one of the two dining rooms. It seemed like they were using part of that room to store old chairs and stuff. The bathroom was pretty gross. Not very clean and poorly maintained. The service was slow. There were five of us. We all ordered at the same time but the food came out one dish at a time over the course of about 15 minutes. Ultimately, it took 90 minutes to eat here. The place was not crowded at all so it seemed like it should have been snappier.

Very good food! We got the wings appetizer extra spicy but just tasted like normal orange chicken sauce. We liked the Mongolian beef the best but wish we asked for it a little crispy. Server even made a sauce on the side cause he knew i liked extra spicy food that added great flavor to the entrees.
