Too expensive
This was my first time visiting, so I was taking a moment to look over the menu and decide what I wanted. A woman with red hair came to the cashier and started looking at me impatiently. I then got a quick call from my mom, as I was trying to see if she wanted anything. Before answering, I had already mentioned I wanted Tostilocos.
When I picked up the call, she gave me a rude look—maybe it wasn’t ideal to take the call, but I was genuinely trying to be thoughtful. After I hung up, I repeated my order, and she replied with an attitude, “Tostilocos?” From that point on, the interaction felt cold and uncomfortable. Even when she handed me the food, I said “thank you,” and she replied in a forced, unpleasant tone.
On top of that, the menu said $10.50, but I was charged $12.50. They added a lot of toppings, but barely any chips underneath. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel welcomed at all. It’s disappointing to see another small business offering such poor customer service.
Chamangos are really good!!
5 stars all around! I visited this place for the first time with my son, and boyfriend. My boy ordered 2 pork tamales, and an horchata. I got a chamango, and my boyfriend ordered his favorite, chamoy apples. Wow! The Chamoy apples, and the chamango were made with the perfect chamoy, tajin, banderia ratio! Gosh, and the horchata they make themselves tastes like the way my grandma makes it! 😭
Kid-friendliness: Super chill to bring your kids in there. I'd imagine this would be a spot to bring your kids to for a refreshing treat after school.
