My latest visit to Curbside Eatery was nothing short of fantastic! As someone who was particularly keen on avoiding long waits, I was delighted with the prompt seating we received outdoors. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring we were comfortably settled without any delay. To top it off, despite the chilly evening, we were offered cozy blankets and had an outdoor heater close by, adding a touch of warmth to our dining experience—literally and figuratively! As always, the food was excellent. I had the fried shrimp with fries, which was cooked to perfection; crispy on the outside, yet succulent on the inside. It’s a dish I find myself returning to time and again, and it never disappoints.I highly recommend Curbside Eatery for anyone looking for a delightful meal with the added convenience of great outdoor accommodations. Their consistent service and delectable menu options make it a top choice every time. Five stars well deserved!

I love this place. The food is excellent, everyone is so friendly.Like the name says, " Curbside Eatery & Drinkery". This place is about relaxing, having a few beers with some great food and watching downtown La, Mesa from thecurbside. Also it never too cold during the winter, they have heaters everywhere!

Great place to people watch, grab a cocktail and some great eats on date night or just a friendly meet up. Have been here several times and they do not disappoint. Prompt service even when busy. Solid selection off beers and delicious cocktails. Poke nachos and taco trio or a go to oh and the fries are huge and cooked to perfection! Happy hour 3-5pm with $7 personal entrees and discounted drinks. Don't pass this place up!Parking: You are not likely to park right out from but one street back parking is pretty easy to find. Pay to park M-S.

We waited over an hour for our lunch. Several tables came and went after us. We were told it was because we had 6 people. We were charged an automatic 20% gratuity because of table size that they weren’t able to service efficiently.

First time here and I'm glad we picked it. The waitress was very friendly with a nice, chill bar atmosphere. The poke nachos was excellent! Wontons as the tortilla chips with poke and avocado. Ended up getting the Swiss mushroom burger. If you like mushrooms then try this burger! Will come again as I enjoyed the food.

What a delightful place! Delicious food - we go for the kebab plates and they’re wonderful time and time again. It’s not the cheapest of places but, I do feel like it’s very worth it. Great vibe, solid drink list, good spot to watch sports… a go-to spot in La Mesa for a nice meal out :)

Ambiance and service were really good, I loved my espresso martini. The pretzel bites were good but I didn’t care for the mustard. It tasted like watered down stone ground but the cheese dip was tasty. The fish and chips were alright, the coleslaw was not my thing. I would definitely come back for the drinks and possibly explore more of the menu.

First and last time at this restaurant. We sat down with my family and placed our order from a server that was not friendly but seemed ok. When he brought the drinks out within 10 mins we were optimistic cause everything looked good so we ordered food then. 5 tables that were sat on the patio after we were, ordered about half hour after us. Everyone got their food and ate. We tried asking the server about our food which at that point had been more than 45 minutes. He said the kitchen was slow. So we asked why ALL the other tables that arrived after us have already gotten their food. When addressing it with the manager and hostess 1.5hrs after sitting down, they said the order was placed 20mins ago. There was no apology from our server or acknowledgment that there was a service failure. We paid for our drinks and left. From someone who has worked many years in the service industry, I would have to say this is one of the worst experiences I have ever had. We heard him speak rudely to other tables around us. Maybe he was having an off day but just an apology from him instead of blaming the kitchen would have gone a long way.

This is a cute little place to grab a drink in downtown La Mesa. I'd be interested in trying other items from the menu. Tonight we had plain sliders for the kiddos, the chicken kebab skewer for myself, and the spicy burger for my husband. The positives were that the kebab skewers where very tender. However the whole plate was slightly bland. My husband said his burger was bland and he expected it to be a bit spicier. The girls slider patties were burnt so they didn't eat them. I think there food would be good if you were drinking as well. It was filling and there was a variety.

The servers here were awful. We came here specifically for happy hour, and they happily took our order. When it came time to pay, they denied that they ever agreed it was happy hour. Do NOT recommend.

Service here was wonderful! The bartender was so polite and we got seated very quickly. We just went for a drink but ended up ordering the pretzel and wing appetizers and they were delicious! The bartender was on top of everything and the drinks were delicious!! I had read previous comments on the lack of service or drinks not being the same as the menu, so I was a little hesitant BUT I thought why the hell would anyone wait 20 minutes to be served and still pay. So that's a bad call on your end & why do you expect bartenders to sit there a muddle each strawberry for your drink. You know, bartenders are always prepared in advance... so that means they CREATE the ingredients ahead of time for easy access and to provide a faster serve time. With all that said, I'm glad I went! It was delicious and delightful.
