That is $49 worth of sweet potatoe fries, chips and Onion rings. Im certain was defrauded and ripped off on my to go order. Definitely open your food containers and confirm before taking your order. I would not recommend and would avoid to go orders.

Food was good, albeit a bit on the heavy side. First time having Scotch eggs and enjoyed. Good appetizer to share as I think it’s a little heavy for one person. The white cheese potatoe pancake was too heavy for my liking but I wouldn’t mind trying other flavors. The shepherds pie was good.

Service was attentive. Ambiance is interesting… it is a dark bar, which is rare for San Diego! The patio was quiet and very shaded.

Worth a trip out for this, not really but definitely good food option in the neighborhood.

Food was good but the service was not. It was 85 degrees in the restaurant. We had a party of twelve and everyone was miserable. The staff assured us the AC was on but it was broken. Hard to enjoy a meal while it's so hot. When we asked the staff they were rude and replied we'll we have to work in it. I'll take my family and my money elsewhere.

It felt ridiculously hot inside when our 12 person party ate there tonight. We asked about the air and they said it was on but everyone was sweating and miserable. It was 87 outside but was hotter inside, it felt like air conditioning when we walked outside. We were trying to enjoy each other and the company of a friend that came from Texas but we all felt that it was absurdly hot and we were all uncomfortable.

We had lunch at Hooley’s Public House today around noon and were very impressed with the overall atmosphere—it was lively and welcoming. Our waiter was excellent: friendly, attentive, and very patient throughout our visit.

While placing our order, I inquired about alcoholic beverages. There was a bit of uncertainty regarding drink options, so I told our waiter I would go to the bar to see what was available. I ended up sending my 21-year-old son to the bar to ask if they had Red Bull for a vodka and Red Bull. Unfortunately, the bartender—a young man—was extremely rude and abruptly told my son to return to the table and place the order through our waiter.

Coming from Florida, we’re used to bartenders being the go-to experts for drink-related questions, and we didn’t want to take up our waiter’s time with something that might be outside his usual responsibilities. The bartender’s attitude was disappointing and unprofessional.

That said, we’re still leaving a four-star review because our waiter truly stood out and provided excellent service. Thank you for your patience and grace—it made a real difference in our experience.

I love this place. What I like most is the consistency. One thing thata standouts is Forest. The guy is the most chill and customer orientated dude I have seen in my mmm 35 years of dining? Serious! Guys a gem. All the rest of the cree is great too.. Anthony and Greg!.
