I am deeply sadden by this restaurant being closed. We found the one in Pacific beach about 20 years or so. We made great memories with our loved ones, that some are not with us anymore. We followed you to la mesa store. I remember your dad one evening, while we had dinner, he came over with some churros filled with something and gave it to the kids. That was the first time ever that we had filled churros. We miss your dad and we loved seeing his picture and all of you guys. Good luck with everything you do in life. Unfortunately this place has closed. My SO and I were very saddened to hear this, since we had just gone there for breakfast a little more than a week ago. This was actually the only place ever we got a Groupon and afterward became repeat customers.

The Fortas are pretty good. Many people prefer the round fries. I prefer them a lot more crispy. But I love the front patio. It's so relaxing here. It makes whatever you eat more pleasurable.I would recommend this cute little place..

The chile relleno torta was amazing! And those potatos? Wow. I definitely recommend coming to this wonderful cafe that has delicious food, a great staff, and cozy outdoor seating.
Big tortas, great deal. Im from Guadalajara where tortas ahogadas originated, so I was excited to see it on the menu... but its different. The sauce is not the same and they put refried beans on it. They use white onion instead of purple... wrong bread....Not spicy at all.... but still delicious!! Ate every bit and used the delicious salsas from the salsa bar to add some spice! I'll be back for sure!
