I am deeply sadden by this restaurant being closed. We found the one in Pacific beach about 20 years or so. We made great memories with our loved ones, that some are not with us anymore. We followed you to la mesa store. I remember your dad one evening, while we had dinner, he came over with some churros filled with something and gave it to the kids. That was the first time ever that we had filled churros. We miss your dad and we loved seeing his picture and all of you guys. Good luck with everything you do in life. This place was horrible. Huge pile of disgusting food, sorry can't recall what I ordered or my friend but we both were aghast that others could give it such high marks. Nothing authentic in terms of Mexican food; it almost inedible, my friend and I left full plates after eating a few bites, and the service was blah as well.

Unfortunately this place has closed. My SO and I were very saddened to hear this, since we had just gone there for breakfast a little more than a week ago. This was actually the only place ever we got a Groupon and afterward became repeat customers.

Best carne asada Fries I have ever had !! they are not skimping on the amazing Ooie Gooie Mexican blend of cheeses or sour cream your never running out of the goodies that being said your also not getting bites of only the fries or steak it's perfectly balanced. The steak is savory and seasoned so well that when you get a bite of one its a flavor bomb of seasoning and a crisp sear on it but still tender to chew ok the inside . The fries. them selfs had a great soft texture to them and even re heated well the next day in a skillet . I could not finish them all they give a big portion and it's not overly priced over all a well prepared dish that I highly recommend. The place was packed at 12 the lunch rush was real but after that it was a normal wait time . The Tortilla soup had Fresh made tortilla in it and was very satisfactory savory and great price point at 3.50 for small and 5 for the large comes with a side of cheese bread as big as a child's face !

The Fortas are pretty good. Many people prefer the round fries. I prefer them a lot more crispy. But I love the front patio. It's so relaxing here. It makes whatever you eat more pleasurable.I would recommend this cute little place..

Super cute atmosphere if you eat outside. My husband and I went on a random Wednesday for lunch and it was perfect for a quick lunch date. I got the shrimp quesadilla and it had mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes and was really good. The servings are large so I'll be having the other half for dinner. We will definitely be going back.

The chile relleno torta was amazing! And those potatos? Wow. I definitely recommend coming to this wonderful cafe that has delicious food, a great staff, and cozy outdoor seating.

We loved this place! The food was delicious and the portions were huge. I had the fish tacos and there was no way for me to eat two of them. We will definitely be back!
