The food is excellent. Fresh delicious dishes. Too bad the service isn't better and the room is too loud. This food deserves better.
Our second time here and it was wonderful again. Mateo was our server and he is excellent. We tried the Parmesan Wheel special with a few of Mateo's suggestions added and it was great. The Pappardelle was excellent also. We had the Arancini appetizer and was some of the best Arancini we have ever had. We'll be back!
We love this restaurant. We had the fresh pastas and arancini balls; all was delicious. Service is always great.
Limoncello always has the best food and service. From happy hour to date night, we love it.
One of the things that you have to love about Limoncello is the consistency; friendly staff, great ambience, and yummy food. All of the waitstaff are knowledgeable about the menu and are welcoming and happy to see you like your an old friend .
Filippo our waiter was great! He was very attentive and polite at all times. Not only that but the food was phenomenal! 10/10 would recommend and will most definitely come back!!!
One of the best Italian meals we have had. We went there to celebrate my birthday. It did not disappoint. One of the best Cacio de Pepe I have had. Loved our waiter Gaetano. We will be back.
The food here is amazing and the decor, colors, florals inside are beautiful. The only thing that brought down the score was our waiter forgot about us, lol we waited 15 minutes before I had to ask someone if we could place an order for food. Highly recommend this spot!
I have never reviewed a restaurant before. But I felt compelled to after our exceptional dinner tonight at Limoncello. From the bread and appetizers, salad and main courses to the incredible cannoli dessert everything was outstanding! We were faithful and long time customers of the former Tiramisu. We celebrated many birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions there over the years. We do family dinner every Saturday night. Limoncello had great reviews so we decided to give something new a try. What a treat! The new decor is wonderful-feels totally transformed. The service was top notch from every person we interacted with. The food was simply delicious. One special shoutout to a gem of a server, Miguel. We joked before we arrived that it would be lovely if he was still there. He was our server over countless years at Tiramisu. So great to see him again. He even remembered our previous drink orders. The drink I ordered— I think a berry martini was fantastic!!! We are already planning to return— maybe Father's Day. Wonderful food, great ambiance but having Miguel there really sealed the deal.
Six good friends decided to have dinner together and chose Limoncello because some of us had been there before and liked it... We all loved it this time! The food was excellent, the service was great ( thank you Francesca!) and the drinks were spot on. The menu is featuring a pasta finished in a giant Parmesan cheese wheel table-side...well done! My Ciopino was hearty and filled with lots of fish and shellfish. Overall a great meal with great service! Friday night meals there require a reservation because La Mesa Blvd is crazy busy with the La Mesa Farmers Market.

Went 6pm Thursday. Restaurant was quite empty compared to the weekend. Server was great & food was amazing as always, will forever be coming back to Limoncello
Many thanks to our wonderful server, Guitano. His service was impeccable and the salad, soup of the day, entrees, and dessert were absolutely devine. Limoncello is our restaurant choice for our anniversaries and special occasions. Thank you for a wonderful evening from beginning to end, and kudos to the incredible chef and staff!
Italian food is in the top couple in all of San Diego. Tiramisu is the best I've had outside of Italy. Only odd thing is that they charge you 3% for using a credit card!! Not sure who's going to a nice, elevated restaurant and paying cash....
We visited this quaint Italian spot for a girlfriend's birthday on a Tuesday night. The decor is charming and cozy, perfect for a casual but cute dinner out. Parking wasn't bad at all, which was a nice surprise. The food was genuinely delicious—everything we ordered was flavorful and well-prepared, and the drinks were just as impressive. Definitely a highlight of the night! Unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. The wait staff was very slow and not very attentive. We had stopped eating, ran out of drinks, and still couldn't flag anyone down to get our bill. It was frustrating and definitely affected the overall experience. While it's a solid option for good Italian food, the service would need to improve for us to consider going back. If you're patient and not in a rush, it might still be worth checking out.
Experience was varied. Waiter incredibly busy and therefore not very attentive. My salad with shrimp was delicious. The chicken with mashed potatoes and broccolini was good and not so good. Chicken was tough, but the flavors of the sauce were delicious. It's also very loud making it difficult for conversation.
