Little Miss Brewing is a cozy tap room with a pleasant gruff bartender serving a variety of IPAs, cream ales, and sours. The wartime chocolate Porter was a fine pick, and the Seabees Honey Pale Ale is a must-try. The atmosphere is welcoming, especially for Canadian WWII buffs. Visitors can enjoy the company of friendly customers and doggies, making it a perfect spot for date nights. The location is in a cute little nook of a La Mesa shopping center and is open late, closing at 11 during the week and 12 on Fri and Sat, allowing guests to stay low key and hang out for hours. Many good nights have been spent here talking and relaxing. The beers are actually incredible, with favorites including peach and strawberry cream ales, Irish red, lagers, stouts, and seltzers—many with creative fruit flavors like mango, pineapple, and cherry. The themed decor reflects the Canadian origin, with moose and flags adding to the vibe, similar to other locations throughout SD that have themes like USA, Russia, England, Italy, and Germany. The staff is always nice and helpful, often letting guests try different brews before choosing. Beers are $5 before 7 pm, making for a nice "all day happy hour." During the COVID pandemic, they offered beers to go, including their prowler pack—six small mason jars filled with beer for $30, with refills at $20, offering great value. They also have a mug club for $30 a year that offers 20oz pours instead of 16oz, valid at many locations, along with a passport system where collecting stamps from each location earns a special shirt upon completion. The overall experience at Little Miss Brewing is friendly, relaxed, and unique, with a welcoming atmosphere perfect for those looking to enjoy good beer in a chill environment.
