Great as expected. Simon has never disappointed in making great drinks nor making great company! It is always a pleasure to speak to him and enjoy the pleasant atmosphere in his shop that should definitely be getting more attention!

As I was on my way to SB I seen the sign in the window that said "shop local" & that's one thing I always try to do, so I walked in and thankful I did. The owner greeted me and made me the smoothest Americano w/ a splash of SF vanilla syrup. I could immediately taste the difference in the quality. So glad that I went here instead and thank you again. ??

Needed a late afternoon pick-me-up after a long day of appointments, errands, and some play time at The Playground. This place saved me from falling asleep during the commute home! The gentleman (I think he is the owner, Simon) was so kind and pleasant to talk to while I waited for my drink. I'm so I glad I stopped by, and I will happily give them my business again. Cheers, Marathon Coffee!

Simon is incredible!! Loved this little coffee shop. Had a great conversation with the owner, super charismatic and down to earth. The coffee is also VERY smooth. Has that little coffee shop feel! Thank you simon!

It’s always great to see small, independent shops opening up as alternatives to big chains! The owner, Simon, was super nice and we chatted for a while and he provided some great insight into opening my own coffee cart.If you’re at or around Grossmont, do yourself a favor, skip Starbucks and stop by Marathon to get a handmade coffee and say hi to Simon.

Simon runs the place, it's a pleasent experience with good coffee. I get a dirty matcha iced latte usually. Can ask for different kinds of milk and customize your drinks as you please. Nice place to unwind or stop by for a drink on your next food run. Tell Simon, I said hi next time you're here

Service, service, service! And it helps that your coffee is pretty good. I stopped here literally because it was late in the afternoon, I had a taste for a latte, and I wanted to patronize local business (read: NOT starbucks - which seems to be EVERYWHERE - yikes to big brother vibes).Enter Simon, the proprietor of Marathon Coffee. He has lots of stories and life experience to share. This venture is a passion of his, and it shows. If you're not sure what you want, he takes his time to help you figure it out. If you know precisely what you want, he is intentional with getting you the best product possible. And while the signage appears Greek - Simon is not. Nor does he have Greek/Mediterranean entrees/drinks on the menu. So there.Keep up the great work Simon; I hope to patronize your establishment should my travels bring me to Grossmont in the future.
