I've seen this place for yearssss and never thought to stop in, but my salon hosted a dinner here, and this place was a little vibe, kinda lowkey . The food was good with live music . Definitely gave a casino vibe with the decor, but it's definitely a cool little date spot with ya friends or man's

Service good, Atmosphere good, food not that great, I asked for my Steak to be well done but it was still a little pink, I ordered mushrooms with my steak and they tasted like they were marinated in salty barbecue sauce so gross. We thought the chocolate bacon cake sounded so good, the cake itself was good but the bacon did not taste good. My alcoholic beverage was not at all strong. And our Bill was Way too high for just ok food.We were bummed out because we did likethe vibe n atmosphere, if the bill wasn't so high we might have even tried something different on the menu another time but unsure if we will be returning.

Great happy hour! I love coming here with the wife on a Friday night! The bar area can be a little loud but it's worth it.

Went early on a Friday night to take advantage of their happy hour. It wasn't busy at all when we arrived and they were well staffed. Unfortunately, neither of these facts made for good service. To start, our drinks took a long time, but at least the appetizers arrived only slightly after the cocktails. The Turquoise tots were basic, as was the tempura asparagus. But since they were priced half off, it was okay. My cocktail was good, though not very strong. We'd told our server upfront that we'd be ordering more food after the appetizers. However, he never returned to our table! Soon enough, our waters were empty, our cocktails were gone, we'd eaten our appetizers, and were just sitting there waiting. We were patient at first, thinking someone would be by soon. We were eager to order several more items on the food menu, along with 2 more cocktails. I was also eyeing dessert. Time elapsed longer and longer though, and no one cared to check on us. A bus person finally came by to clear our plates and I told her we were ready to order the next course. She said she'd get our server. Still, he never came. After another 20 minutes of being ignored, our excitement for a Friday night out had died and we decided to go home instead of attempting to order further had anyone come back to our table. We had to wait still for someone to make any eye contact so we could get our check. This experience put a real damper on our night. This place used to have a more extensive (& better) menu and better customer service as well. We won't be back for awhile after this disappointing experience.

I went with my husband and son to celebrate my husband's birthday. It had an old vibe but cool. We were sat at a booth so which was cozy. However, in the midst of waiting to order, I felt water dripping from the ceiling. It might have been from the air vent. We ordered the sausage and tater tots for a starter, they were delicious! But when it came to the main course, I was both disappointed with our server and the quality of the steak. First, I ordered the prime rib, medium, since I was going to share it with my 8 year old. My husband ordered prime rib as well. But when the food was served, we were brought out 2 ribeye steaks. When the server returned, I reminded him that we both ordered prime rib. He apologized but he said he thought he heard ribeye. My husband I and clearly know the difference between the 2 cuts. He offered to get me the prime rib but at that point I didn't want to wait longer for our meal, since my 8 year old was hungry. I didn't enjoy my steak since it was more well done to my liking, it was also dry. My husband ordered medium-rare but he said the middle was under done. Also to point out, there's a clear difference in price between the 2 meats-at $16 each, which was also another reason why I know what we ordered. Overall, I was really disappointed at the service and quality of the ribeye steaks. I was really hoping it would be another steak house we can frequently go to since it's local. We will stick to Brigantine.

We had an absolutely lovely time here for a birthday dinner! The atmosphere is swanky and fun. Service was great and food was awesome. We certainly will be back!!

Great happy hour! Bar was unfortunately full when we arrived, waited for a while standing inside but no one was leaving and there's really no standing room. Finally ended up ordering at the bar and sitting on the small patio outside ( 3 tables). Drinks and tots were yummy, tots have a kick. Will be back.

The hostess managed to find a table for us. Seated and service was quick to the table. Inside, you think you're in a speakeasy from the past. The food was good, sides were plentiful, and drinks good. The live band was a nice touch.

My husband & I went here last night for dinner for our first times. The food was great! One of the items we got was their Buffalo cauliflower bites and I’m telling you these were the best tasting ones in San Diego by far! I’ll come back for those alone. The service was amazing as well. We didn’t have a reservation but they were able to accommodate us because someone was late for their table. The servers were alol very friendly annd could tell they enjoyed working there. The atmosphere was fun too. They had a live band playing Johnny cash covers and it was a fun twist of old vibes mixed with a modern twist. Basically hipster, but we loved it. ?☺️

The happy hour food wasn't much to be desired, drinks were okay, service was good, and the ambiance was good.

I love this bar for happy hour!! Half off appetizers and cocktails! The interior is very mad men, mid century, and it's probably original, this has been a neighborhood fixture for so long.
