The older black gentleman was rude and couldn't be bothered to help the cashier with my order. Stating that ordering an extra patty was too complicated and if I wanted it I should just buy another burger, but he "doesn't have time" to figure it out. He was just sitting there at the table doing absolutely nothing while the younger gentleman did all the work. I wouldn't recommend coming back here.

Good food but if you can’t reserve a table through OpenTable, please take it down, it’s very misleading and frustrating.

Long review because I noticed that the owner reads the reviews, and I want him to know what it's like to visit his business for a first time customer. Summary: Surprisingly cute indoor space, good menu, delicious coffee, atrocious and insulting service. I popped to check out the place after taking my cats to the vet. I found the location from a paid deal site I use (Entertainment) I ordered a latte and cake, and the cheaper item was supposed to be free up to $5. The woman working the register had no idea how to honor the promotion, and was very rude to me about it. They asked me to wait. 10min later, no one had helped me. An alternative staff member came and made my coffee. Another 15-20min passes, still no cake served, still no follow up about the correct payment. The rain picked up and I started to worry about my cats in the car for sooooo long, so I pop out to check on them. Orginal staff woman runs out to tell me to pay, as if I hadn't been BY THE REGISTER trying to pay for half an hour. We get inside, and she rings me up again, then tries to refuse the coupon because I hit "redeem now" IN FRONT OF HER , and it showed redeemed, along with the refemption code and date. The woman then accuses me of trying to run out on the bill when I went to check on the cats, ( I hadn't even been served half my order) and tried to charge me full price again. She did this loudly, publically, and said "yeah right" when I told her about the cats. It was awful. I left offended and angry. Both the latte and cake were delicious, which helped my mood. Also- They have no idea where their own products come from (I asked the source of the baked goods, she said "some big company"). Frank- this woman on staff will send your potential regulars running! I am a local business owner looking for a spot to work and bring clients. Your place is perfect, except for the rudeness and inefficiency or the service. I was there yesterday at around 12:30

What a disappointment. I popped to check out the place after taking my cats to the vet because of a BOGO coupon I had on a paid coupon site. I ordered a latte and cake, and the staff had no idea how to use it. They asked me to wait. 10min later, no one had helped. An alternative staff member came and made my coffee. Another 15-20min passes, and I start to worry about my cats, so I pop out to check. Orginal staff woman runs out to tell me to pay, as if I hadn't been trying to pay for half an hour. We get inside, and she rings me up again, then tries to refuse the coupon ? because I hit "redeem now" IN FRONT OF HER , and it showed redeemed, along with the date. The woman accuses me of trying to run out on the bill when I went to check on the cats and tried to charge me full price again. What a racket. They have no idea where their own products come from (I asked the source of the baked goods), no idea how to redeem their own promotions, and NO idea how to treat people.

I've lived in San Diego for years now and have constantly tried different brunch places. Spacebar has by far the best value for your dollar. Really top quality food at low prices that are almost impossible to come by in the county. At any time of day, Spacebar delivers. And with every meal, you'll be taken to space and back!

We were attendees of a breakfast that was given here. The owner and his team setup a buffet style breakfast which included: breakfast sandos, fried chicken wings, Belgian waffles, cut up fresh fruit, lime water, and delicious coffee. The setting is good for an inside private group dining of up to 30-40 people. They also have the ability to project video on a screen. I liked how they set up the breakfast event with professional linens and orange juice carafes and glasses at each table. The staff is customer service oriented and very efficient. There is one woman who makes the BEST CHOCOLATE CHUNK SALTED COOKIES here! They sell out and I was lucky to be able to order 2 of them! DELICIOUS! Overall, this was a good experience. There are great working groups who frequent this establishment and they enjoy the menu and the coffee and drinks. It is a great collaborative space. I love that the drink sizes are "byte" for a medium and "Mega" for a large. Very cyber related.

I'll note the one negative up front - their service gets slow if it's packed because late nights appear to only have two people on staff. I don't mind that, though, because the food is an excellent accompaniment to some of the best live blues music I've ever heard, Dave Good (and many friends)'s tribute concert-shaped outpouring of love for Robert Cowan. It's a cozy place you genuinely want to be in and are reluctant to leave.

So I’ll start this off by saying I have been here a couple times mostly for take out, smoothies, bagels etc. It’s ok but kinda high prices for the quality. Staff haven’t been the nicest but I can get over that. I came here to complain because I use the laundry mat in the same parking lot and every Tuesday they have some sort of event where drunk people come here in droves…IN THEIR CARS. The amount of times I’ve watched my own car or other cars get dinged, scratched or literally hit by drunk people coming here is astounding. It’s a small parking lot as it is and they take up every spot in the evenings despite there being street parking on the road right next to the place. Seems like they’re encouraging people to drive drunk to or from their restaurant.

I'm giving 3stars for service. Overall food was good but when they have the Sunday brunch they need to have more than one person serving the tables. The waitress was all over the place just not organized at all..

My go to spot for good food, events and tea. This place is not a fast food establishment, which is a good thing. Everything I order is made fresh and is delicious.

This place is a real mixed bag. The food and coffee is great, though expensive. The number one problem though is their hours are EXTREMELY inconsistent, closing early, not being open at all, etc. Not a reliable option in the slightest. There doesn't seem to be communication about when they will or won't be open, and I've even seen them ignore people knocking on the door instead of just explaining that they're closed. While service is with a smile, you can often be waiting for unreasonable amounts of time at the counter before they even notice you standing there, due to inattentiveness. Ambiance is nice, except when the place has been inexplicably taken over by some super loud band, transforming the environment into something radically different than what's typical or expected. In short, I *want* to like this place, but I can't bring myself to recommend it.

I’ve gone twice to this establishment within a few days. Both online orders. The first day, I got a veggie panini, a club panini, and an order garlic fries. When I walked in, the hostess was eating fries off an order and approached me..talking with food in her mouth.I brush it off because the location was serving an event towards POC. The environment was nice to enjoy even though I arrived at my orders pick up time. The paninis were good. The garlic fries were old and didn’t taste good at all.A few days later, I was able to place an order and given an ETA despite the establishment being closed.Instead of calling me when they opened to rectify, I reached out to them and they refunded the money. No customer service or calling to see if I even wanted the order anymore. The coupon they gave me wasn’t even good after I had used it on the refunded order.Incredibly disappointing and such a waste of time/gas.

The açaí bowls are delicious and they are pretty big bowls. The people working there are very nice and seem relaxed. That makes the place even more comfortable and chill.
