Update: pizza was crisp and toppings are odd but good. Not saying it was bad with my first read, if anything best spot on the strip.

A little overpriced, but the whole strip in downtown la mesa is overpriced. At least it isn't a gentrified copy of culture food so no bad comparisons.

A slice with style, but not much soul

Surf Rider’s pepperoni slice walks the walk—crispy crust with beautiful char, thin enough to fold like a pro. But once you get past the snap, there’s not much left to chew on—literally or figuratively.

The flavor is good—balanced sauce, decent cheese, pepperoni that pulls its weight—but it all feels a little hollow. There’s no depth, no real richness. It’s a slice that shows up dressed...

I finally got myself here. I asked for most popular pizza slices and they told me. GOAT and Pesto. I Love it! Wow! The crust is delicious. The topping was unique Flavor was so good. Great price too.
