Great gem with excellent service, delicious bites and reasonable prices. We went for lunch and they had a promotion going where if you rolled a 1 with dice, your lunch was free! We didn’t roll a 1 but still it was a great experience and worth the cost. Definitely recommend:)

We had a lovely experience at Tour de Tapas. I feel like this restaurant is what the village needed! The space felt clean and welcoming, the food was delicious and the wine incredible! We loved everything we got - the caprese salad was fresh and tasty and we loved the chocolate mousse dessert!! Everything was so reasonably priced and it did not compromise on flavor or quality. We can be a bit hard to please when going out to eat but this place did not disappoint. We’ll be back for sure! Thanks for a great evening to the Tour de Tapas staff!

This new little place is nestled in the heart of La Mesa, and offers a delicious selection of food, wine and beer. The service was excellent, and the ambiance was nice and comfortable. It’s a small restaurant that is perfect for date night or to enjoy with friends (like we did). We ordered the calamari, patatas bravas, pulpo con chistorra, and I would order all 3 again. The spicy potatoes were especially delicious. We also ordered the ribeye special and the wine sauce was to die for. The desserts I was told were delicious. I’m not a citrus dessert lover, but I was told the crema catalana was very good, kind of like a citrusy zesty creme brûlée, and the crepes Suzette were also very citrusy (orange) but paired well with the vanilla ice cream. I would highly recommend this place, and am definitely coming back to explore more items on the menu.

I enjoyed my company with an international Spanish flare. I found it funny and honorable my famous Bruschetta a Pomidoro was on their menu. I had to point that out to our server. Yes, the San Diego Reader made it famous when I had my restaurant in La Mesa. My creation is famous. Not me! I loved the Tapas of Calamari,Octopus Shrimp and bread service. It was a busy after happy hour crowd so we had to keep flagging for more vino!! Only beer and wine in their humble bar. Fancy but casual too.

This place is as far from tapas as it is from Spain. It took two “tapas” and one drink to know it was not good.
We started off with the croquettes, served with marinara sauce. If you’re Spanish, you know the marinara sauce on the side is laughable. However, what’s truly laughable is the fact that it’s a papa rellena, and definitely not a croquette.
Further, the cordon bleu is parboiled chicken wrapped in a sad crust.
The best part of these dishes was the sweet sauce the cordon bleu was in.
Sangria was good! We asked the server what wine was in there and he mentioned he had no idea, it’s prepared offsite. Explains why it’s so good!
