Such a cute little coffee shop! Food: I had ordered 3 food items and forgot to take a picture. It was the avocado toast and peanut butter & banana toast. And a chocolate croissant. Súper bomb! Would definitely order all 3 again. Drinks: Tried their coffee fall flight…and wow! Genius. Hope it’s a year round option and can choose other options when seasonal drinks aren’t in. Staff: super nice & attentive. Place: Very clean, easy to find seating. Parking wasn’t hard. Went here around 9-10am.

Large and regular looked like the same cup so i tested the theory at home and they both equated to 2 cups. So dont bother spending the extra money on a large. Edit: experiment was performed with the same type of drink with no ice

I really liked this place until I ordered the cold brew. I asked for no ice and when I received my drink, it was filled half way. When I asked why, they stated the owner instructed them to not fill the top (based on measuring). I requested to fill it since I literally received half the cup ordered and they refused. I go to several coffee shops and this isn’t the norm. It’s disappointing and actually kind of petty. I won’t be coming back.

I was looking for a great coffee spot and I found one that was on the way.
I had their matcha latte with whole milk and it was delicious. The right flavor and temperature. The place looks like a great spot to pull up a laptop and listen to some good music.
I’d definitely come back again to try their other menu items.
Great place to get great coffee! I’m here for a short term work trip, but I couldn’t go two weeks on my hotel’s coffee. Civitas has delicious lattes, pastries and a great atmosphere. I’m going to recommend them to all of my coworkers who travel here.

I ordered a flat white like an hour ago.
In my opinion what makes this spot good is the type of coffee you get. Im no coffee expert but the taste you get is what I call "classic". That straight up coffee taste you know and love. Everywhere else I go tend to favor the more funky natural process coffees. I love a good funky espresso. But to find this flavor profile in a coffee shop around here, or in LA in general is pretty uncommon.
