I have been coming to Gondola Pizza since my college years at Biola. The ingredients of their food, from pizza, clam pasta, meat balls to their famous dessert tiramisu are rich and full of flavors. It is my must “stop-by” place for dine-in or take-out. This is a place for many locals, church goers, families, and visitors like me. Stop by there if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed.

I mourn and lament the state of pizza in Southern California. Gone are the days of old in which the great people of Sicily and Naples first settled in this country in search for opportunity and bestowed upon us their great pizza pies and other such cuisine. Whatever was served to me at Gondola’s tonight was such a far cry from the true authentic pizza experience. Surely it was not an assault on the tastebuds, but instead a milquetoast attempt at charming themwhich immediately fell flat and left them unscathed. I was promised a magnificent culinary experience and emerged from my seat unfazed. I cannot believe this is considered to be the upper echelon of pizza restaurants in California. Maybe it’s because there are no Italians down here? Do we have to pack a bus full of Sicilian uncles from Jersey and bring them to La Mirada for the noble pursuit of blessing the locals with actual pizza?

My daughter ordered a cheese pizza one night and it was amazing,the toppings were generous and sauce yum. But since 1st time I have had it 2other times including today, when she ordered extra sauce which I love and 1/2 pepperoni and 1/2 cheese. Well it second time it was awful ? she decided she wanted to treat me again and as I said specially ordered it was even worse than 2nd time. Flavor was gross there was hardly any sauce and they threw pepperoni all over. So I will never eat here again!! Very disappointed again
Had the best food and service. Enjoyed our meal, had plenty of leftovers. Definitely recommend.

1st time visiting this italian restaurant but it definitely will not be my last! we visited during lunch time (3pm) and there were only a few people scattered around so there wasn't a long wait to order. we ordered the fettuccine alfredo with added chicken and a pepperoni and jalapeno pizza. i must say the pizza completely stole the show even though it was such simple ingredients but you could tell it was high quality ingredients that went into it. we also really enjoyed the pasta we ordered as well. i must say that from the beginning of our visit to the end they had a staff member cleaning the tables, sweeping the floor and also checking the restroom which is good because there is nothing worse than a dirty restaurant or seating area. i can't wait for our next visit where i will for sure be trying their lasagna and another kind of pizza with different toppings.
