I recently visited Nick the Greek in La Mirada. The service was friendly and the place was clean, which I appreciated. However, I ordered a side of falafel and was surprised that no dip was included. In my opinion, it shouldn’t be an upcharge—it should just come standard, even if the price needs to reflect that.
I also noticed that the portion of lamb-beef in my pita was smaller than on my last visit—about two ounces, which didn’t feel like enough for a $15 pita. The flavors were solid and the pita was fresh, but when I go out for a meal, I expect to leave satisfied. If they can consistently provide a more generous portion and include a dip with the falafel, I’d be more inclined to return. Overall, 3 stars—there’s potential here!

This is by far the freshest food I’ve had in a while. I ordered the gyro bowl, one pork and the other beef lamb with rice and fries. I’m not even kidding this taste so fresh and clean and you can taste the love in the food. I need to go back and try everything!

Can't justify the price for how little food I get. I could forgive it if it tasted amazing, but it's kind of just average. I'd always prefer other Mediterranean restaurants in the area.

So this place was a random stop in for some lunch on a Saturday early afternoon about 11:30 am. It wasn’t crowded but really clean place. The parking is pretty small with some 15 minute limit right in front. We ordered the chicken plate that came with 2 chicken kabobs with rice or fries, tomatoes, onions and a side salad for about $17. We asked to split the order and Angel, the staff member, was kind and friendly to accommodate us. The food was delicious and enough for each of us. We also got the strawberry, pomegranate and dragon fruit drink which was nice and fresh. There was not wait ordering and we received our food almost immediately. We then decided to try the Dubi chocolate yogurt dessert which was so tasty 😋. This is definitely a place we’ll be revisiting!!

Ordered $10 in sauces with my food. None of them arrived with my order. Rest of the order goes in the trash. Someone needs to realize that the sides of sauces make the meal for some people. Tried calling the location multiple times before leaving this review but no answer.

A friend suggested we try this place. My wife ordered the falafel in a pita and I had the falafel plate. While waiting for our food, we sat outside in their adjacent patio, but it was noisy from the nearby Sunday traffic so we came back to the air conditioned indoors.
We didn't wait long for the server to bring our order. The salad was quite fresh and delicious. But the falafel and yellow rice were so-so. Expecting their sliced onions would be pickled, I was surprised by their raw bitterness! A small (too small) serving of tzatziki sauce came with my falafel plate.
Nick the Greek is a fast, convenient casual place with many other food options. But it was probably a mistake to order the falafel.
My coworker found this place and it was great. Solid Greek meals and an overall great dining experience.
I ordered their hamburger, chicken plate and a drink. The hamburger was delicious and tasted home made with excellent fresh ingredients. The chicken plate was also great along with the fries which were really good. The pita bread was also great along with their dipping sauce.
I’d definitely come back here again and try their other menu items.
