Food filled the gut. Oxtail was not flavorful. Dark and loud. Had the wave people down. To get our water filled. Hot sauce never came. Tail meat was 20% . First picture was ALL THE FAT and bone.

I always enjoy myself when I visit Isla! The restaurant is located in a nice cozy space, has great service and a tasty menu. It's on the top of my restaurant list.

Wonderful experience with my server Edwin and bartender Tony. This spot was recommended by my good friend Denise who always brings this delicious, authentic cuban food to our family gatherings. Edwin walked us through the menu and suggested the delicious drinks that were perfect for our date! We had an amazing first time here and will be sure to bring our friends back to see the live music.

I thoroughly enjoyed my evening at this restaurant, the atmosphere was great and relaxing. The restaurant was authentic and subtle with their cultural elements. Edwin was a delight, he recommended dishes alongside drinks. The drinks were tasty and different, Tony was a great bartender, I’m definitely coming around the bar again. I had a great experience and i’ll definitely come here again.

Met an old friend of my wife. They hadn't seen each other in over 50 years. The food n service at Isla was excellent. The restaurant is a little hidden. We sat outside in the patio area and had a long reunion.

Food is great. Seating on weekends not great if they are busy. They have music on Friday and Saturday so if you have a reservation for diner you may be sitting in the parking lot. Was necessary during Covid but a table by passing cars is unacceptable to me now.
They need to change the reservation system to list where you will be sitting. In side, patio or parking lot. Wouldn't have made the drive if I had knows that's where my group would be sitting.
Ended up next store at Panda Inn who also has great food.

The appetizers are delicious 😋 All the mains looked it too ! I had the chicken soup, the serving was large! The waiters were sweethearts :)

Ok let's make this right to the point.

1. The chicken soup was on point.
2. The Yuca was on point.
3. The empanadas on point.
4. The plantain chip also on point.
5. Congri was delicious.
6. Sweet plantain just right.
7. Pernil was super DRY. Not good at all left the whole thing behind.
8. The soda was super flat even though it didn't have any ice in it.

The ambient was great.

The waiter was very tentative to my wife and I.

I would have given a lower rating but my wife asked me not to.

Member it's about the overall experience.

Fairly priced, great environment, food missing some flavor. Great plantain chips, emenadas need more pimento and Spanish olive, congri dry needs more black beans. Empenada a bit small. Great location, within walking distance from my hotel in a safe area. May try agian but different menu items. For better Cuban food try Havana kitchen Temecula CA. !

First time, we very hungry and the food was very authentic as original cuban food. The best part was that the chef came out and asked us about our metal. We very highly recommend this restaurant

I was impressed with the service here and how fast we got our food. The server checked our table multiple times to ensure everything was OK. Will be back if I am ever in the area.
