짱 ??My favorite samgyetang place in entire SoCal. It’s lowkey but the flavor is absolutely authentic and delicious. Best 삼계탕 I ever had, very affordable, potent and nutritious - highly recommend for your health & vitality. 10 out of 10 would recommend and come back again!

Don't come here. Your seolleong tang house is stinky like kimchi and all the yucky soup. Service gives us purple rice and a parent has to take the beef out of the soup. I hate Jangmo Jip so much. This is a smelly restaurant like kimchi and bad soup. I will only go to Hanoo Korean BBQ restaurant in Northridge if I had to go north and choose a Korean restaurant. I will not come back here to Jangmo Jip ever again.

Stinky, dirty, no white rice, beef is in the soup, and has only purple rice. There is so much soup here and their menu was horrible and they did not have the chadol briskets. DONT go to this Jangmo Jip Restaurant. I will never come back.

When I think of a small mom n pop shop, Jang Mo Jip is the definition of it! This is my first time here, and I was immediately impressed by the food here. This hole in the wall shop offers a smaller selection of food with it specializing more in soup-and-rice dishes. Honestly, I appreciate a smaller menu because to me it means they hone in on perfecting their dishes and it prevents decision fatigue for the indecisive customer (like me).We had to try the bossam because I was craving it very badly! I love eating boiled pork belly topped with kimchi, garlic, jalapeno and ssamjang sauce and then wrapped in lettuce It's so good! And the Sam Kye Tang was even more satisfying with it's rich and thick chicken broth flavor It melted in my mouth alongside with the purple rice we got. They also provided complimentary sides (aka banchan) which is why I love eating out at Korean restaurants because of their fermented veggies.Everything about this mom n pop shop were good. The only 2 cons I had was that they do NOT let you take leftover side dishes (kimchi, radish & seaweed). Not sure why this policy exist but makes me sad that these sides gets thrown to the trash if you do not finish them during your meal there. And the menu had obscured prices so I didn't know how much they cost until they bought out the receipt.

Are we allowed to swear in reviews because !$&@!@*?!, this place is definitely swear worthy. We were on our way to the Aquarium of the Pacific got my daughter's birthday and woke up really early to do so. Therefore, we needed breakfast. We didn't want the usual American fare of waffles and omelettes; we wanted something more comforting and filling that was also en route. The night prior, we perused Yelp and found Jang Mo Jip which met all our needs (aside from the catchy name). We walked in and again were the only non-Koreans. However, the waitresses greeted us with smiles and offered us both iced and hot barley tea. Everyone around us were enjoying their meals in silence. Everything was pretty much in Korean but it was a nice, clean restaurant. We decided on the classic sul lung tang (with beef), sul lung tang with innards, and mandu. This was accompanied by delicious, simple banchan of kimchi, seaweed, and radish kimchi. The banchan was absolutely delicious and probably the freshest kimchi. The seaweed had a side of ssamjang which balanced the salinity. We got seconds of all the banchan. The soup itself was deliciously infused with bone marrow flavor with a choice of clear or regular noodles. The meat was also very lean and tender. There was also a side of salt and fresh green onions to adjust to one's liking. Our son had a sip of the broth and gave it a thumbs up. They also had purple grain rice, my wife's favorite. The mandu seemed to be made-in house because the dumplings were soft and juicy. If we are ever in the area again, this will definitely be a stop!

Basic korean food (soups) small simple menu. The ladies working here were very pleasant. I found it to be a good experience I will return for another visit perhaps try something else on their menu. Casual.

I think we found the cure for COVID and respiratory issues in their Sullongtang lol I'm kidding, but also serious that I highly recommend that you get their Sullongtang when you're feeling under. Every dish has an authentic Korean taste but did a I mention the Sullongtang with choice of clear or rice noodles? :) Service is always good. The servers are always friendly everyday of the week except Sunday and that's because they're closed Sunday's! :)The decor is a page out of a simple sheektang (restaurant) in Seoul... don't bring your date here... unless you're both sick :)Perhaps they're going for that momma and poppa shop feel so they don't really spend time or money modernizing the restrooms or replacing menus, so this could be improved. Also, you can't take home left over side dishes. By the way, they only serve these side dishes (as shown in their photos): Radish, Kimchi (excellent), and seaweed with red paste.Nonetheless, my first and only place to go to when I feel a cold coming on. Enjoy!

Good food. I recommend going if you want to try something different other than Korean bbq.

My boyfriend took me here on a rainy day. It's only a minute drive from his house. The menu is super small, but they serve authentic Korean dishes! It's a small long-running korean restaurant. The ladies that work there were super nice and attentive. We ordered the ox bone soup which was a little bland to me, but they have salt on the table for you to add to your liking. Drinking this definitely feels so soothing to the soul. I love love love the ddaro gukbap. Spicy, but not too spicy and light on the stomach. A plus for me is that they have a whole bowl of chopped green onions to add to your soup. (I can't describe how much I love green onions LOL, i put like 10 scoops into my soup). I'd love to come back here again on a rainy or cloudy day, it's just the best weather for this type of food in my opinion.

I've been coming here since I was super young. This place is super consistent with really good food and service. Anytime I'm feeling under the weather I come here and it always hits the spot. Everything here is really good and tastes like home. Their kimchi is always on point too. I started bringing my son here since he was a baby and he's a fan just like his mama. Been a faithful customer for almost 30 years and will continue to come here for another 30. If you want good ssullungttang or samgyettang, look no further.
