This place is a go-to whenever I crave burgers, albeit very occasionally. It's always busy and popular among the locals. The burgers and French fries are always fresh, and their breakfast menu, especially the pancakes, is delicious. The staff are generally friendly too.

My family and I have been ordering from Johnny Jrs for close 20 years now, their breakfast burritos in particular are really good. I'm writing this review because I had an interesting experience today while I picked up my order. One of the reasons we continue to order from here and refer friends and family is that the food is good, but also I don't feel like I have to have weird interactions with staff to get condiments or salsa. It's mostly been relatively easy to ask for these things that complement the meal. However, today I noticed that my ordered was check over and over to see if I was charged extra for the salsa for the burritos we ordered. It was really uncomfortable, I stood there and I could tell that the issue was the extra salsa in the bag. I understand that the price of everything has increased over the years, and this had been passed to us, the consumer, however, I hope I don't have to look for another place to order food from because of something as small as extra condiments or salsa. It'd be unfortunate for us to stop coming here because of something so Insignificant. We have been coming here and referring friends a family for almost two decades. Therefore I hope that the service continues to be as friendly as it had been, or we'd be happy to find another establishment that recognizes that nickling and diming is not a good business practice. Having said that, this was the first time in a long that I felt that weird feeling at Johnny Jrs in La Palma.

Ordered a pastrami burger. Could hardly tell it had pastrami in it compared to my daughters cheeseburger. Paid $20+ taxes for it alone. Flavor was okay. I'm used to pastrami falling out my burgers. Do not recommend this place.

Good local spot. Got a double cheeseburger and large fries, although portion sizes could be a bit larger for the price. Flavor was good for both, although the burger could use a bit more sauce/veggies and it was packed a little light.

So far everything I've had is delicious. Burger specials are good a great deal. Beef tacos are delicious!! Burritos are good size and full of flavor. Biscuits and gravy are pretty darn good. Work at a local school so we're always ordering from Johnny Jrs.

Johnie's Jr has been part of the La Palma food community for a long time. I've dined and ordered take-out from here through the years. The quality of food and service has been relatively consistent. Unfortunately, prices have increased due to inflation in the past year, but it's still a solid place for comfort food from morning til evening. The menu has Mexican and American fare--many items to choose from. My usual orders are the burger combos with their thick-cut fries or upgrading to onion rings. Lately, I've been exploring the menu more and have been surprised by how good the melts and sandwiches are. The dining area is usually clean, with minimal decor, and has both indoor and patio seating. The service has been polite and attentive whenever I've visited. Orders are also prepared quickly. Even though there are other good food options in the area, sometimes the craving for Johnie's Jr hits, and it doesn't disappoint.

Came here first on my own and I loved it came with my wife after and we loved it brought my kids to eat here and we loved all my 3 experiences here were amazing I do believe it's family owned so another reason to come here I love supporting family businesses the sauce on the burgers is one of the best I tasted I know most burger spots all use the same one but johnie's just hits different the fries are always crispy mmmmm yummy and the staff very friendly I love coming and I will continue to come here keep up the good work guys

It's reasonable, the workers are nice, the food is pretty good...and coffee is good also...sometimes it's old from standing there, but you can ask for a fresh pot, they'll accommodate you.Parking: It's right by the building, all spots are close.
