They're using fish that should be thrown away.

Great food and great service. This my go to spot for catering sushi. The owner usually just needs an hour notice to get your order going. I’ve gotten this catered on thanksgiving and today for Christmas. The food is fresh and presented with care.
It is open on holidays just call in advance to be sure. Thank you Sakai!

Small sushi shop in a Korean centric market plaza.
Had a late lunch here, offers sushi and sashimi combos for a very reasonable price.
Offers bento box type plates as well.
Seemed to be a one man operation.
Well made sushi, tasty spicy crab mix in the rolls we ordered: shrimp tempura and Sakai roll , topped with fresh clean tasting fish.
The shrimp sushi was also served raw here.
Overall very good food.
Water is self serve. Small restaurant has tables that can accommodate about 20 people at a time. Nothing fancy, clean overall.
Parking can be difficult when it’s weekends because of the grocery store in the same plaza.

Good sushi and rolls but very expensive, each roll is $19 dls
Very good! Sushi was excellent and fresh. Very relaxing environment, but limited seating. I was driving in the area and wanted to have sushi, and this place popped up. If I am in the area again I would come back.
Went to eat, but ended up leaving. The bathroom were not the cleanest. At a simple glance the kitchen looked pretty dirty and with tons of dirty dishes Pilled up. There was water that appeared to be coming from the other unit. When i pointed it out the chef appeared to be aware (like this was normal). Still trying to give the benefit of doubt… we sat outside to eat (because it felt a little stuffy). Chef cleaned the table with contaminated rag… smelled horrible like super strong cheese. We decided we did not want to risk getting food poisoning. :(
Sakai Sushi has been one of my favorite local sushi spots since they’ve opened. Owner is very welcoming and the food is always fresh and beautifully presented. I highly recommend the Sakai Special roll to anyone who enjoys seared white tuna.
A small hole in the wall shop that has well priced fish! $7 rolls and $13 for two pieces of toro! We ordered a $30 sushi and roll combo and it comes with 7 pieces of sushi and any $15 roll, in addition to 2 miso soups and 2 side salads! I was so full.

Small (only four tables) but nice sushi spot. Selection of sushi is somewhat limited, but what they have is good quality. Order came with an excellent green salad, and miso soup. Prices are very reasonable.
