Caramelo Cafe was a wonderful stop. Their coffee was delicious and so was the food. A hidden gem - would definitely go back to try other coffees.
I enjoyed my first visit. I came on a weekend afternoon when it wasn't busy. The staff were attentive and the chicken panini was yummy. However, I recently visited again with my family and the experience was very different. I had talked this place up to them, so they had high expectations, but they didn't like it in the end. They were very busy on a Saturday morning, so it's understandable that the service wasn't the same, but a lot of things could be improved. We were a party of 5 and they sat us on 2 small tables they put together. We had zero space to eat comfortably. It would have been best to keep the 3 small tables to have more space for our plates and elbow space to feel more comfortable. Another thing that kind of irritated me was that the food all came out at very different times, so the first person's food was cold by the time everyone was served. Cold chilaquiles are not the same. My aunt ordered the steak sandwich and she had so much trouble chewing through the tough meat. She ended up eating everything except the meat until the end where she tried cutting it up to eat it. The pancake that came with the omelette was one of the worst pancakes I've ever tried. It was thick, tough and a little rubbery. It tastes like batter that you just just add water to. I couldn't eat it.
I ordered the chorizo omelette. It was slightly overcooked. Omelettes, in my opinion, should be kind of light and airy. This one was full of chorizo (which is a good thing), but the chorizo was kind of dry and the egg was too. I doused it with salsa so it wouldn't be so dry. I decided to leave a review because it was a bit disappointing. It is still a good brunch spot, but just order a chicken panini or a crepe. The coffee was yummy and my dad said the chilaquiles had good flavor despite being cold.
Great food at reasonable prices with excellent service.
I loved their food, but they need more employees... there's no way I am waiting 20 mins for someone to approach me to get my drink order. Not even a food order. They never came back to check on us till I needed to pay.
everything they offer is very rich
you have to wait a little but it's worth it

I'm not sure where to start.
One of the waitresses that greeted us told us that she'll have us seated on the right-hand side so we could get better service. Food came out cold. Portions were big, but we didn't even have to blow our food to cool it down. It was cold. Like it was microwaved cold. I ordered the country crepe and it had cheap ham. My sister had the panini, and it wasn't a panini. The table that we were assigned to was dirty even though they wiped it. The table smelled like a dirty wet rag, and the chairs weren't wiped. Someone left a print on the chair. Restrooms were separated by stalls and are located in two different locations inside their establishment. Lastly, service wasn't that great. It took a while for us to get our orders and to pay. We waited for maybe 10-15 mins to be able to pay, and the waitress almost had us pay someone else's bill.

I like the food, the service is a little bad because they forget to ask if people are okay or if they are missing something

Carmelo Cafe is so good! We love their crepes and their breakfast choices. Our favorite is their chilaquiles with red sauce and scrambled eggs.

I recently came here for the second time. My first time was a great experience a little crowded and busy but the food was good. This time the service took longer and I left with food poisoning. I order the chorizo omelette. It looked cooked but 30-40 minutes after eating I was throwing up and sick as a dog. Sadly that left a bad impression and I won’t be returning back.

Decent place. Nothing special. The prices are pretty high, and portions are not worth the price.

Visited Caramelo Cafe early for a delightful breakfast with my brother and two nieces. Arriving early ensured we enjoyed their delicious chilaquiles without waiting. The chilaquiles were perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The friendly, attentive staff made us feel at home, and the cozy atmosphere was ideal for our family gathering. The menu offers a great variety of fresh, tasty options for all tastes. Limited parking was a minor downside, but our early visit made the experience smooth. Highly recommend Caramelo Cafe for a wonderful morning meal!

Even when busy, waiting time is not bad.
My steak was a bit cold, but everything tasted great. I wish the Café de olla had 1 one free refill ?
We had a coupon so we couldn't get the reward points. That was a bummer on a $125 bill.
