DOMESTIC is hidden away from the main drag in old town La Puente. Meats are always fresh and the BBQ isn't too sweet, its more Texas style. Brisket, Tri-tip, ribs, and beautiful awesome sandwiches. Collard greens, coleslaw slaw, beans... and a wide selection of local craft beer on tap. The best BBQ joint in this part.

This place is so unexpecting and tucked within the industrial parts of La Puente. It's a great spot to just hang out. Maybe because it was during a slow weekday, but we went for dinner on a Tues evening and they only had 1 outdoor patio on the sidewalk. We had our dog so that was our only option. Inside has plenty seating though.
We ordered inside with the nice young lady and she was very helpful and even brought out our food to us. She helped pick beers and service was great.
Food itself was overall pretty good. My favorite from all that we ordered were the brisket flautas. I wanted to like the bread pudding more, but it needed a little oomph added to it. But the flavor was great. All else kind of was expected bbq food. Brisket was good though.

Anyone who has eaten real bbq food knows that this place is sub standard! It's funny to me how you have to pay before you receive your food, the little amount of food served for the price is typical in this area! Hell my kids bbq way better than this place! Waitress was slow and clueless when asked questions about menu! The mc rib tasted better at an AMPM!

Came to Domestic because they accept Inkind. We had eaten at their West Covina location and enjoyed it so we came here to try it out. Over here you order at the cashier and they bring the food out to you. Everyone was very kind and the service was top notch. BBQ was great and the family meal fed us for a few days.

Service was bad from begging to end, anyone who has served real barbecue knows that tri tip has a crunchy outer flavor and the meat was dry the proportion was very small for the price , the potato salad was ok in flavor a bit on the salty side.drinks came out too late , had to ask for them . Appetizer was brought to late after meal was served. Waitress didn't know what was on menu , was told that they didn't have an item when it was clearly on the menu. If you really love good barbecue this is not the place. 🤷
