been coming here for years now never had an issue before until today I ordered a Philly chicken with extra cheese and bell pepper. When I got it they gave me 2 cold pieces of cheese on top of the sandwich and then proceeded to say that the order has to be ordered as “well done” and “that they don’t have a machine or melt it”? Whenever I have ordered this before they would melt/cook the cheese with the rest of the ingredients.

Saturday 12/27/25 Dinner at Doublz. Ordered the 2 classic burgers combo with fries and a drink. Great tasting burgers and fries. Provided lots of fries good for 2 people. Classic burgers were a bit small. Menu has lots of selections. I will be going back to try their burritos next.

Order burgers and they are usually great but they changed the burger bun and those buns are thick and not good at all. I wouldn't order after this. Before the sesame bun was perfect. Hope they switch back.

Go back to the old buns! The new ones are too thick, stodgy and taste like potatoes. Everything else is always great. Fries, sodas, patties. Everything is delicious. Except the buns now.

We ordered a cheeseburger combo. Fries were cold. I asked for the hamburger with mustard and mayonnaise. Got it with no mustard. . Then they probably ran out of hamburger buns. They used bun for tortas.

I used to love your pastrami, but this past Saturday we stopped. I order pastrami. It was burnt, dry. The bread was hard. I was really disappointed in it.

Doublz isn’t trying to be flashy. It’s just a good, no-fuss neighborhood spot that delivers on what matters: hot, hearty food at a solid price. There are a couple locations, but this La Puente one has become a dependable favorite of mine. It’s not a burger stand. They’ve got indoor seating, which already puts it ahead of half the small joints in town. It’s quick, casual, and clean, with a huge menu: burgers, sandwiches, salads, fries, onion rings. Whatever craving you’re working through, they’ve got something for it. But let me not bury the lead, the real star here is the Lunchbox special

For under $11, you get:

A JR cheeseburger

Two huge, crispy chicken tenders

And a grip of French fries—and I mean a serious grip

It’s one of those meals where you question the math. Like, how are they making money on this?
If you’re into pastrami, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. Their pastrami is better than The Hat’s, and I don’t say that lightly. It’s juicy, peppery, and stacked. Parking’s easy (lots of it, it’s in a strip mall), and getting in and out is stress-free. You’re in, you eat, you leave full. Or maybe you nap in your car with a half-finished Lunchbox and a fry stuck to your shirt. No judgment.

Final verdict: 4.5 stars. It’s the kind of place that doesn’t need hype. It just wins you over by doing everything right.

First time eating at this place and last!! The girl at the drive thru window needs to be sent to customer service school!! No smile and just attitude. Walked away several times when I was talking to her shutting the window. I spoke English and gave my order and she still didn't get it right. Had to re buy two sodas. I spent 70.00 dollars for two chicken and burger boxes, 3 cheeseburger specials and a small chili cheese fry. Could have gone to Chris's burgers on Amar for half that price!!
