Donut Hole lives up to its name because you literally drive through the hole of not one ... but TWO enormous donuts! Built in 1968, Donut Hole has stayed the test of time due to their wide array of delicious donuts, convenient drive thru, and structural novelty of the aforementioned giant donuts. One potential inconvenience (at least when we went) is they are old school and take cash-only. I had their classic Rainbow Donut and it made my day.

Driving through La Puente roads, I nearly squealed when I spotted The Donut Hole—two giant donuts built into the building! The novelty architecture definitely draws you in, but the donuts themselves are soft, sweet, and perfectly classic. It's retro kitsch done right—you can’t help snapping photos through the drive-thru holes. A fun stop for waffle-donut fanatics or anyone chasing Americana. Even locals tend to miss it, which makes it feel like our own secret

Their glazed donuts are melt-in-your-mouth delicious, and the maple bacon one is a fan favorite. It’s a drive-thru, but there’s a tiny outdoor seating area if you want to hang out. I’ve been wanting to try this in previous visits to California but could never fit it in. Finally got there today and it was worth it. Donuts looked great in the drive thru display and the staff were friendly and seemed happy to be there. Lots of varieties, decent prices. I got a maple bar, old fashioned, buttermilk, and apple fritter and all were outstanding. I didn’t eat the buttermilk until maybe 7 hours later and it still tasted fresh and wasn’t dry.
Flies on the donuts and the people there didn't care when I told them. Didn't even shoo the flies away...
