The food was amazing but what really set this restaurant apart was the phenomenal service from Abiud. He was so attentive and quick, our drinks were never empty and he made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy a great meal.

It was okay. The Margaritas were seriously the worst tasting thing I've ever been served. Outrageously priced and the food was tasteless. Would I ever go back or recommend? Maybe but not for what we had.

Sitting here watching everyone get their drinks, chips and salsa their orders being taken. All who got here after me .... my family usually loves this place but all places make changes..... canceled my drink because I noticed the bartender and our assigned server just standing there... 2 women sitting next to us had to get up because they weren't being checked on. For one she had no napkins left the other her food was wrong.... our food arrived and it's perfect!!! Which more than made up for the service Which did get better after unfortunately hating to complain. She was friendly throughout the entire time i will say.... about to pay food wa great. Unfortunately I didn't get my drink because I like catching a little buzz before I eat... looking forward to my next vist. 😎

The guacamole is amazing. We had the house margaritas, chicken burrito de la casa & chicken nachos (with all the fixings). We were so full, but happy. Great ambience, impeccable service, etc. highly recommend!!!

Casa Mendoza, Mexican Grill & Bar has two locations: this location in La Quinta, and another in Palm Desert. Our group was staying at the hotel, nearby; this was a hotel staff recommendation. The initial attraction was that it was within a walkable distance. Our group arrived for dinner at 8:30p on a Friday night. My initial impression was that whereas a lot of restaurants in the valley are very slow during the low season, this restaurant was fully occupied. The decor was nice. They also had karaoke. The menu has all of the standards you expect and is available for review on the restaurant's website. Prices are reasonable, for a restaurant with ambiance of this caliber. There were six diners in our party. I will say that my carnitas were on the verge of being a little dry; but it was a good plate, overall. (Maybe I'm picky.) No one else in our group had any complaints about their meal. Service was good, considering how busy the restaurant was.

What a horrible experience from the very start. Hostess was rude and bothered. We had a reservation for the outside patio and had to add another table. The guy practically slammed the table down upset he had to add it. Waitress was in such a hurry she missed drink orders. Food was terrible!!! Must be pre-cooked because it came out so fast and was way overcooked. Oh and here’s the best. They start flashing the outside lights to give us a hint to leave even tho the restaurant was open for another hour. Watch out for the cockroaches on your way out in the parking lot! Gross!!!
very loud inside. drinks (horchata & tea) were good. David's burger was nothing special & hurt his stomach after. dry chicken enchiladas, I've had better the day before at los arcos. When I ordered 2 tamales, the server didn't tell me the Entree plate (tamales w/rice & beans) would've actually been cheaper. If i've known i wouldn't of ordered 2 small (salty) tamales for $24. I asked the manager but he said there's nothing he could do. We will not return, there are better places.
