Service was very good. Food was marginal. Margaritas were weak. 3 of us at table—one very tasty dish and 2 not very good.
I’ve been here twice now. Good service and great food. I stay at the Homewood down the road. I can walk here and it’s much better than the Applebees in the parking lot.
Fabulous food and service!! Loved our choices-everything was cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Air conditioning was great but due to the outside temperature it was still a bit warm as restaurant filled up with diners.
I enjoyed this place. The good was good and the sevice was as well
Food is excellent. Not your everyday Mexican food. Must try.
I went on mothers day and since than my 14 yr old and myself have been sick to our stomachs. My food was over cooked and my sons food was cold. Over priced for the food they serve. And the server we had omg she never came to see if we needed anything. I had to look for her so we can pay and get out of there. My first time there and my last time. The only thing that the restaurant look nice from the inside. Very disappointed 😞 actually ruined my mother's day.
Great new family owned business in the desert. I ordered the Mole Ranchero, a robust flavor of spicy pork not sweet at all. My wife had the shrimp with the zarandeada sauce, and loved it! Very flavorful and just spicy enough. Can’t wait to come and try their breakfast!!
A good friend of mine recommended this spot, and I have to say it really exceeded my expectations! The ambiance is cute with an earthy, colorful vibe and an open half-kitchen concept. The chips and salsa were very flavorful, and we started our meal with house-made margaritas -Tamarindo, Jamaica, and Mango with Tajín. They were all delicious, but I think the mango was my favorite!
I wasn't in the mood for meat definitely had seafood on my mind, so I ordered the octopus tacos, while my partner got the fish burrito. It was perfect because we could share! The service was great throughout the meal, but we hit a snag when it came time to pay. I had given our server my card to charge everything, but when I was ready to settle the bill, there seemed to be confusion as if they hadn't received it. It took a bit of time to sort it out, which was frustrating since I had tried to ensure a smooth payment process. On a side note, the beans were tasty, but the rice was just okay.
Started with their Cadillac Margarita! Definitely don't need a second one! Had the 3 enchiladas and normally wouldn't finish it, but size was perfect. Enjoyed our meal and will be back! Lots of free parking.
Tasty servings of food with slight twists on traditional presentations. Spicy sauce options are a must

Pretty good passion fruit margarita. Insane prices for what you get. 2 quesabirrea tacos for 21 dollars. Consume good, beans bland. Nice view from patio to rocks across parking lot. I won't be back. Waiter was nice but not on it, a bit obsequious. Still waiting for my check
Sure, I sound like a Karen- do with it what you will. Just back from Baja where I had far better birria for $2/taco. No fresh passionfruit Margie though...
Great food and wonderful service. I read about this restaurant in the Palm Springs news letter the ratings were good for both food and service. It didn't disappoint.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Must-Visit in La Quinta!
El Patio is hands-down one of the best spots in La Quinta! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is absolutely incredible—every dish is packed with authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and the perfect balance of spices. Their [mention a favorite dish you had] was next-level, and the margaritas? Unreal!
The service is just as impressive as the food. The staff is friendly, attentive, and genuinely care about making your experience memorable. Whether you’re looking for a great date night spot, a fun place to bring friends, or just a laid-back setting with amazing food and drinks, El Patio delivers on all fronts.
If you’re in La Quinta and haven’t been here yet, you’re truly missing out. Highly recommend—this place is a gem!
