We dined on the patio. We went there to talk. While we did manage to talk, the loudness of the music made it difficult.

The food and atmosphere was just as wonderful as in the past, however the service was horrible. Very disappointing

Lavender Bistro has it all. Great food, friendly non robotic waiters, incredible ambience, live music, soft enough that you can still have a good conversation with friends. It is by far our number one favorite restaurant of all time.

What a lovely dining experience! We enjoyed our tuna towers, butternut squash risotto and sorbet. Everything was delicious. The servers were attentive and informative. The patio was beautiful with greenery and trees wrapped with lights. We were fortunate to have a patio table close to the entertainment; a guitarist singing and adding to the ambiance. Very highly recommend!

We (4 of us) arrived on time for our 7:30 pm reservation but after being seated, we were informed they were already out of the duck special and there wasn't another special. That was an interesting way to begin our evening. We ordered cocktails and those came out along with a variety of 4 rolls and some lovely whipped butter. We had to ask for more rolls and we only received the plain ones the second time around. No butter that time either and we had to ask for more. Appetizers: The octopus had a funny seasoning on it that was so overpowering it had to be sent back. The mushroom soup was very thin. The tuna stack app was ok but we've had better ahi tuna. Mains: beef short rib which we were told was nice. Lobster ravioli was drowning in sherry and became almost unable to be eaten. There also was what we realized was quite a bit of garlic which had not been relayed to us when asked. Cobb salad was good and the filet was prepared nicely but for $75 we could have done better at home. Celebrated a birthday but got the wrong dessert for that. The waiter did bring the correct one after the candle was blown out. We found a wine we love but they should have asked us if we wanted to decant it (and we should have asked as well). Overall so disappointing in the food and for the price (almost $500 for the 4 of us) we were so sad. Our friends made the birthday celebration special but the restaurant was basically a failure. I was and am so sad.

Beautiful romantic atmosphere! Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. You have to try Lila Belle’s homemade butter cake!

Lavender Bistro is a hidden gem in Old Town La Quinta.

We sat in the bar area, had a few drinks, beef sliders, truffle fries and enjoyed live music in a fire-heated environment.

First time here with a holiday party.
H’Orderves were delicious!
The room too small for the amount of people….4 circular tables crammed into a room with a curtain to divide us from the party next to us. Many of our backs were to each other.
Dinner was mostly good. The salmon was delicious, filet minion tender & juicy, but what was up with those potato logs? Somebody tried to get creative with the mashed potatoes and failed! Golden brown on the outside, hard & seemingly stale like they were prepared early and kept in a warmer, we needed steak knifes to cut into them. The inner potato had no flavor, just bland. The vast majority of us did not like them. Stick to mashed potatoes.
Mac & cheese was ordered for a child. Really bad, he didnt eat them. I tried them….I wouldnt eat them either. The cheese sauce was soupy & flavorless. It tasted like flour not fully cook when they made the roux, so the texture was grainy, soupy & again flavorless.
The service was excellent, the restaurant is beautiful. I will give it another shot, just because I love the atmosphere & ample parking, just not with a large group.

First time here yesterday. Beautiful space and very good service. Unfortunately I ordered the flat iron steak which was close to inedible. Tough and stringy. Should have sent it back. Everyone else at the table liked theirs, so lucky me.

We were disappointed with the food. We ordered the poached pear salad and the oil in the dressing was rancid.
The turkey and the short ribs were very good.
For dessert we had pumpkin pie and pecan pie. The pumpkin pie was good but the pecan pie was extremely hard that even using a fork and knife was difficult to cut into it.
The waiting staff were dismissive and seemed not to care.
This was in contrast to a previous good experience.

We were far from the music which we appreciated. Our service was good and attentive enough. The only problem I have was that I ordered the flat iron steak and the steak knife is not very sharp, so the steak was hard to cut, but it was delicious.
