We had a lovely dinner outside overlooking the beautiful lake. Our food was delicious and we wondered why there were only two tables of diners outdoors. We have been there before many times and will continue to bring other friends there in the future!

The water front patio had only 1 other table in use when we arrived. We had a great view. Server, Britany was very friendly and made us welcome. My prime rib was the way I liked. A beautiful evening and many boats going by. I think this place deserves some more good reviews, as I read some that gave me second thoughts. We have been here to celebrate a prior anniversary and found this to be a hidden gem. Try it and enjoy the quiet setting. Gordie & Kathy

Caesar salad was awful. We were told there is a transition in management and the menu is being “worked on.” Stay away!

This was the second time we gave this restaurant a try. Both times we made a reservation later in the evening and when we arrived, we were told that they were closing soon. I asked them the second time why they even bothered to take a reservation. They act pleasant, but I could tell they were annoyed that we were there as we were the last people. The place did not close for another hour by the way. The staff seemed to be very sweet and the waitress was really sweet as well. She was adamant that they did not have prawns which I verified with her. So I ordered the scallops... Fast-forward 10 minutes and a plate of prawns come out. I did not want prawns. I ordered scallops. She tried to offer me something else on the menu, but there were only a few items to order and none of the other ones looked appealing to me so I decided just not to have dinner. She offered me dessert, but since I hadn't eaten dinner, I'm not sure why she did that.. anyhow... It wasn't a great experience. The cocktails were good, but they should have been comped after not being able to enjoy a meal with my family. The place is beautiful though... And my husband‘s meal was good (aside from the thing previously frozen chicken). We were told they were under new management so to go to the front desk and pay (like we were at a Diner). It was where people check into the hotel but when we get out there and no one is there so that was a little awkward as my husband had to ring a bell. Finally, someone came out of a room and ran my husband's credit card. It was declined though we used it somewhere else immediately after. I use mine, which was attached to the same account and it was also fine. Not sure if that was glitch..They could not print me a record so I asked to take a pic. When I got to my car, they had ran the card for Moore than the final bill. I was too angry to go back, but if I'm petty enough, I'm gonna do a charge back for the amount they overcharged . I do not recommend based on two experiences.

While visiting Palm Desert with friends in February 2025, we had Saturday brunch at Melange, the signature lakeside restaurant at The Chateau at Lake La Quinta. When we walked in, Robert advised us that he was the only server and bartender working that day AND there were six tables ahead of us. He was very pleasant and promised to get to us as soon as possible, and we decided to stay and wait. We were seated outside, given menu and drinks and ended up waiting for a much shorter time than we anticipated - many thanks, Robert!
The food was excellent - I had the shrimp & asparagus omelet, and the others enjoyed the Benedict, mushroom omelet, and blueberry french toast. We loved sitting outside with the gorgeous lake views.

We have loved this restaurant for dog friendly breakfast for years. This was our first dinner and it was awesome! Robert was attentive and fun, it made our evening out a real treat!

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner. We both had ribeyes which were delicious! Our server was very sweet. She recommended we try the chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. It was amazing!

We've been to Melange many times. Today was exceptionally good! Sometimes you just want a burger for breakfast and today was that day! Our burgers were perfectly (rare) cooked and the French fries are the best. Our server was sweet and attentive. The patio was so peaceful—-birds chirping, geese flying, hummingbirds humming, and the sounds of Lake La Quinta's fountain...just perfect. Great morning!

It's been a while since we've been back and we really missed the ambiance sitting by the water. We were treated like we were the only ones there! It was a lovely evening, wonderful service, great food and the most personable servers. It was our anniversary and to our surprise we were treated to a bottle of champagne! How thoughtful and much appreciated! Where else does this happen?! It was a perfect evening!

We were seated at a table with a wrinkled white table cloth as the greeter wiped bugs or dust (not sure) off the table. AC was freezing. No lights were on in the restaurant. Server was kind and attentive. Food was ok. Views are pretty.

While booking my reservation, left a note stating we were celebrating a birthday. To please bring out a slice of cheese cake with a candle. I felt like it took away from the experience.
