Their food, service, and atmosphere are wonderful. We had so many different dishes to taste, including the live fish, and loved it. My favorites are duck, fish, beef, and beens inside the bread.

Decent Asian restaurant, a large choice of dishes that are often quite copious. We tried the orange duck (a little sticky for my taste), the specialty apparently also with the Dim Sun. Prices a bit high...
Not enough to break 3 legs of a duck....
I have tested others in the area, with tastier dishes and more affordable prices. I'm thinking of Soul Of China, with a more intimate setting.

Parking: Plenty of parking spaces nearby.

Our old Chinese restaurant spot hasn't been the same since the new owners, so we tried this spot. Our second time here and the food has been very good. The Garden Chicken and the Shrimp Fried rice were very tasty. We also got the Chicken Chow Mein and a couple of appetizers.

Hello I

The food was decent and overall this place was solid. The only issue i had with this place is their consistency. We ordered a bowl of rice and it was filled no more or less of the bowl which we thought was fine obviously. But then the person next to us also ordered rice and their rice bowl was overlapping the entire bowl to which is probably twice the portion that we’ve received. I later ask if there was free refills and they said no so I felt that we got finessed in some type of way. The family next to us was also served first as they came in after us.

The food varies as to whether or not we liked a dish. Cashew Chicken is very good. Orange Chicken was supposed to have a bit of crunchy outer coat, but it was kinda soft. The chicken was a bit tough and stringy. The BBQ Beef Fried Rice was good. We ordered ahead and to go, 3 Sesame Balls (also called Chinese Donuts in San Francisco.) They take about 20 mins to make which is why we ordered ahead. They brought the bill and I noticed the Sesame Balls weren't on it. So they forgot to take that order, or make that order, so we had to wait another 20 minutes. Then we got our bill for 2 people (no alcohol), which was for $93! So they are quite expensive, and this would keep us from going say once a month. We decided every 6 months would be ok. The CV is hard up for good Chinese Restaurants, but this one in La Quinta is always recommended as the best.

Parking: It's in a mall, so huge lot available.

Kid-friendliness: It's not a fine dining restaurant, so I would say we'll behaved children would be welcome

This was our first time eating here at the Palm Tree Palace and it was amazing! I've have heard from so many people and also on a couple of Palm Springs Facebook groups that it's the best Chinese in the valley and it truly is. 8 of us live here in the valley and my mom and dad are visiting from Singapore, they know true authentic Chinese flavors! Amazing family dinner and our waitress Michelle was so nice. All of the staff were friendly and gave us plenty of attention. They loved the peeking duck! Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back!

Best Chinese food in the desert, in my opinion. Only place to order authentic Dim sum, limited but excellent. All food chefs are from China, and I have met them all.

So we read a lot of hype regarding this restaurant on Next Door so we decided to try it. The two stars are given for the only dishes that we ordered which were ok not great. That would be the BBQ pork fried rice and the Moo Shu Pork. The steamed dumplings were the worst I’ve ever tasted. Rubbery doughy with little filling. The Siu Mai was ok but unremarkable. The Mongolian Beef was not bad but more green onions than beef. The Sweet & Sour Chicken was bland and lacked flavor. All of this culinary mediocrity was capped by the $100 price which is about double for other nearby Chinese Restaurants. I rate this overpriced hyped venue a “Try elsewhere”
