Hi again to all you gastronomic foodies. Today's food adventure took us to Aoki sushi in La Verne California. If you are in the area please give them a try. The food was very good and fresh. You will notice right away as you walk in, that the atmosphere is rustic but inviting. The service was warm prompt and friendly and the food was very good, the sushi was very battery and succulent. We shared a bento box and a rainbow roll for our lunch, it was so good. Not only were we very happy with the quality but there was plenty of food to fill both of us up. Remember my friends as always, to stay happy, be mindful and be the best you. " One great meal can change the world" so let's start changing the world.

The pictures from online are very deceiving, order 2 bento boxes, 1 miso soup and the deep fried crab which can out to $56. I ordered over the phone and told the lady I'll eat there but she packed it up & she said to eat it outside. Seeing the food in person I wasn't impressed, super small portion and looked like there was no effort into making our food. Definitely not gonna have a 2nd visit here.

This was my sister and her friends experience today, keep in mind theres 5 people ages 16-17:The lady made my friend cry by demanding my friend to put away the Mexican food she brought in order not to feel left out and proceeds to aggressively pay my friend on the shoulder 3 times, we all just looked in shock because we don’t know this lady that’s touching our friend. It took 20 minutes for 2 lemonades and a sprite to come out then another additional 10 minutes for everyone’s food to come out (mins you we all ordered at the same time). Mind you we waited 30 minutes in total when the shop wasn’t even occupied. We also watched the chef take breaks amidst making our order. We proceeded to go outside because our friend was crying, due to the rude attitude from the lady, so she wasn’t embarrassed by the people coming in.When it was time to pay we all decided not to tip because of her rude attitude. When my first friend went up to pay she was confronting her as to why she didn’t tip her and demanded my friend to tip her. My second friend paid for her meal and demanded a tip but didn’t receive it. When I went to pay she asked if I wasted my change back ($0.03) and I declined because if I said yes it’ll have led to another issue. When I told her she could keep it she stormed off, after that we left without finishing what we paid forAdditionally, the size of the Sushi California rolls were the equivalent size of a quarter which is completely unfair when you see the cost of it.Summary of the text: The lady was extremely hostile to me and my friends and demanded a tip. Horrible customer service.Parking: Lots of parking at this restaurant.Kid-friendliness: If I could rate 0 stars I would rate 0 due to the rude demeanor of the female server.

Just returning to a beloved old haunt of mine. I've loved this place since my first year of Uni at ULV. The matron and everyone else who works there are truly lovely people. The food is simply wonderful (Usually, the Spider Roll is my # 1 favorite, well, next to the Tempura Ice Cream that nowhere else in SoCal has managed to perfect like Aoki's ). The prices are hella affordable, for college students & state workers lolThe atmosphere is intimate and cozy. One could look at the decorations and photos displayed on the walls for hours and not get bored.Overall, it's an awesome place to go to.

A small mom & pop place. The sushi is very fresh. You can taste the difference from other places. I typically don't eat salmon rolls, here I did and the flavor was amazing. They have a variety to choose from. Check hours before attending

My husband and I came here for a date night, and to be honest, we really enjoyed ourselves. We came across it looking on Google, after attempting to go to another Japanese sushi restaurant closer to home, but when we arrived and the lines went out both front and back doors, we left. This is a small establishment, it has a more family-feel to it, and we enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. Even though there was only a few customers, we liked that it wasn't over packed and was more intimate. We both ordered bento boxes with hot sake. Food was wonderful, we left full and happy. The price was extremely reasonable.

The food at the place is generally ok, however the service and atmosphere are terrible. Today I went to the restaurant for the first time and when I went to order and said I didn't know some of the dishes there and had asked if there were portions with two units, the woman simply didn't explain, asked me to decide what to order and told me I turned around, and it said that there were no two-piece dishes, although the menu said that there were, even some of the ones I had asked about, that they were not missing. When I commented to a teacher what he thought of a certain place, he also complained that the place was pretty bad. The second time I ordered, this time for delivery, I just didn't order from another Asian restaurant, because the last one in La Verne, Wang, was about to close and wouldn't be open until the next day. The other Japanese restaurants that I found much more interesting, super close to here, didn't deliver because they were in another city

Cute little restaurant located in a beautiful area. The business is owned and ran by the cutest couple. The husband makes your sushi rolls himself. The wife is courteous and attentive while taking your order and serving you. Has a great ambiance. They also have a few tables outside so you can see a great view of the people and happenings of the city. Can't wait to go back
