This was one of my favorite places and I used to recommend it to everyone. But they really have fallen off. Tried to come in tonight at 10pm. They close at 11pm but they wouldn’t sit us. I keep trying to give them chances and I keep getting disappointed. :(

Love coming to this place. Food is always amazing. My favorite is the cashew chicken but everything is made fresh to order and I haven't had a disappointing item. EVERYTHING is amazing. Great service and we love music nights. Love it when Jazz Fellowship plays in particular.

had the pleasure of dining here with my parents over the weekend and was amazed by the hospitality and quality of food. we ordered at least 5 different dishes and loved everything. what stood out to me was the beef in hot & spicy soup, the mu shu pork with the wraps, and the home made xiao long bao and pan fried dumplings. very spacious restaurant. i also saw they have a large room in the back great for large parties. the owner, Fang, was so sweet and introduced the history of the restaurant. we had a great time and will be back again!

We ordered the chow mein with pork. It's too oily. The waitress was nice, but we have to ask twice for extra napkins.

Arrived yesterday evening for dinner and was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a live band on Friday night, our first time here, I only wished that the band was indoors so everyone could enjoy it rather than the outdoor patio area only, this location has a such a huge layout with empty space that they could fit a small stage and still have room for patrons. We ordered drinks and appetizers and it took a while to get our drinks, our food came before our appetizers and we were told that the chef gave our appetizers to another guest because he got confused? So our food was served first then we got our appetizers ? our favorite dishes were the green beans and the garlic cucumber's they were amazing, the orange chicken was very dry and we ordered pork in spicy sauce that was sooooo SALTY we couldn't eat them. They have a tasty old fashion made with basil Hayden.
As we waited for our food to arrive we were being bit by mosquitoes and we were inside, one of the waitresses decided to open both front doors even though they had a nice cool AC going, that's the reason for the mosquitoes which were attracted to the giant fish tank they have inside. We might return for the drinks and green beans but that's a "might". The entertainment should definitely be enjoyed inside on a hot summer day. Prices for the food were in the $20+ range for each item.

Overpriced for panda-level food quality. Outdoor patio is very nice. Free public parking lot in the back.
The very first time I went to Cafe Wang was on Thanksgiving night. It was the day after I moved to La Verne and it was the only place open. Food was bad but I always kept hold of the caveat that it was Thanksgiving. Tried it again for the 2nd time last night and food was still not good. Outdoor patio with live music was very nice. I had black pepper beef, spicy eggplant, xiao long bao and 2 beers for $85. Note I do not like Panda Express. If you do, you may like this too but Panda is cheaper.
