I am afraid they are going down the hill. Shrimp was very overcooked, they gave us very hot, spicy food, though we asked for a mild version. It was so hot that I couldn't eat it.
I wonder if their waitress fully understands English or maybe just doesn't listen.
A bowl of coconut soup costs $20 for lunch. No lunch specials anymore.
We will not come again. The place was 100% empty on Christmas eve while other restaurants were overflowing with people.

Delicious Christmas Eve dinner! Our service was excellent and we were comfortably seated. Great atmosphere.

Thje Kaho Soi was some of the best I've ever had. My dining companion and I both thought the Thai green papya salad was less than exciting but I'm guessing one should order the Lao papaya salad to get more spice.. He had the short rib curry and the amount of beef was huge. You won't go hungry with whatever you order at Amarin! Be aware - parkingis difficult in the area, even during the middle of the day!

The food was great, but the owner was stressed about a party of 40 coming in and was trying to rush us out after calling and asking us to come 30 minutes before our reservation. It made it very uncomfortable and difficult to enjoy our dinner.

Delicious Thai food in a cozy location in Lafayette with lots of street parking and just a short walk from the BART station. The owner and staff are friendly and helpful. I usually get the yellow curry because it's so good, but the khao soi and basil chicken are great too.

Great service, food nicely prepared and presented, clean and inviting atmosphere, friendly and courteous staff. We shared fresh veggie rolls, and had Pad Thai with chicken and Pra Ram with chicken and rice. We’d heard about it from friends and glad we checked it out.

Well we enjoy coming to Amarin - the food is creative and quite good. I love the whole cooked Branzino although depending on which dish you select can be quite sweet - rather overpowering. The decor is perfect and service is outstanding. The one star is going away because - this restaurant skimps on it's napkins - yes, I care about the kind of napkin I use! When I'm spending $32+ on an entree I expect a cloth napkin. Not some cheap paper napkin that tears and is used after the first appetizer. I generally have to ask for more. If a restaurant wants to be more in tune with fine-dining then they need to up their ante with either a much stronger quality paper napkin or cloth. Kind of kills the ambience.

Loved every bit of our time at this restaurant. Visiting From out of town . Everything on the menu was outstanding. They understood the spice level assignment. Our server Sheri went above and beyond. Bookmarking this for when I'm back in the bay!

This place is a gem and we will be back. My wife went in for lunch and left fans! Thank you for making our experience a great one and for the Thai Fried rice with brown rice today!

We gave our order 45 minutes after we were seated after several attempts to flag down the server. I had told the man who seated us that we were in a rush to get somewhere. There was one server was obviously stressed. We felt bad for her. The food was great! We didn't consider ordering more food. The Asian family next to us was given prompt service - they were in and out quickly. Maybe it helps to speak the same language?
